The plant will need to be transplanted about once every three to four years, with standard-sized pots required to transplant. As for the composition of the land mixture, it is recommended to combine three parts of sod land, two parts of leafy land and one part of sand. The acidity of such soil must remain slightly acidic.

It should be remembered that in indoor conditions this plant is quite difficult to grow, so the best solution would be to place a rough one in winter gardens. In such conditions, this plant is particularly unpretentious in care. Throughout the rest period, the air temperature should be maintained in the range between twelve and sixteen degrees Celsius. During the dormant period, moderate watering will be required, and air humidity should also be kept at a moderate level. The period of rest of the rough zamiya remains forced and lasts from October to February. Such a dormant period occurs due to the fact that all this time the plant has a lack of lighting, as well as a rather low air humidity.

Reproduction of a rough zamia occurs by sowing seeds. It should be noted that it is important to attribute to the specific requirements of the culture that for the favorable development of this plant, the provision of decent drainage will be required.

The leaves are endowed with decorative properties rough. Such leaves are feathery and covered with a rough, grayish bloom: this bloom is essentially tiny hairs. On the leaves of this plant there is a small number of rather dense segments, which will be rounded or ovoid in shape.

Due to the fact that rough zamia is distinguished by a special love for moisture, regular spraying of this plant will be required, and it is also recommended to wash the leaves from time to time with warm water.
