Water pressure also affects plant growth and development. Small plants, if you plant them in a deep aquarium, in the water column, are likely to die quickly. It is advisable to plant large plants in deep vessels, but smaller plants need small aquariums.
About decor
In addition to plants, various decorative details will look great in the underwater garden: artificial houses, driftwood, stones, etc. They can be purchased in specialized stores, or made by yourself. About disinfection
After choosing plants for an underwater garden, they must be disinfected. For this, a 5% solution of ordinary table salt or, for example, potassium permanganate, is well suited. Those plants that grow in the vastness of our homeland will be dormant in winter or even die due to the warm content. For planting, you need to choose only young and strong plants. They will take root quite easily.
By the way, you can buy these plants in the same store where aquarium fish are sold. But be careful and careful. Some unscrupulous sellers offer non-viable hybrids that will die after a few days in your underwater garden. And this, of course, will not please you.
About feeding
After planting, do not forget to fertilize your aquatic plants, they need to be nourished just like normal plants. You should not take fertilizers that contain a lot of nitrates or phosphorus. Microelements are much more important. But it is quite problematic to calculate their percentage on your own, so you can purchase special feed for plants growing in water.
