From 12 to 14 September, Pavilion No. 75 of VDNKh will host the XXV International Exhibition of Plant Growing, Floriculture, Landscaping, Improvement and Landscape Urbanism "FLOWERS-2018"
The first exhibition "FLOWERS" was organized in 1994 and over a long history of its development has confirmed the status of a central communication platform for all participants in the "green" industry, including representatives of flower retail, event agencies, eminent florists, landscape designers, architects, experts, as well as representatives of academia and government agencies.
The project is marked by international and domestic quality marks UFI and RUEF and is traditionally carried out under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation with the assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In 2017, on an area of more than 11,000 square meters, 250 companies from 10 countries of the world presented their unique varieties of flowers and plants, ornamental trees, shrubs, innovative developments in the selection of vegetable crops, accessories for floristry, garden furniture, products for garden construction and landscape design, as well as planting material, seeds and fertilizers. The number of visitors to the exhibition was over 17,500 people.
In 2018, participants and guests of the event will have an even larger exposition of new products from leading companies in the green segment. In honor of the 25th anniversary of a significant event for the industry, new unique varieties of pompom, spherical, cactus and nymph dahlias, as well as famous domestic varieties of gladioli, such as Gagarin's Smile, Vladimir Vysotsky, Sensation and Camilla, will be presented. The section will be supplemented by an exposition of achievements in the field of urban improvement and greening, which will demonstrate world achievements in floriculture, landscape architecture, landscaping, and creating a healthy and comfortable living environment.
The event will traditionally become a meeting place for representatives of the flower business, providing an opportunity to attract new customers, conclude contracts and establish business relations with partners.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a rich business program will be organized, including forums and round tables on topical topics of the "green" industry, practical seminars and master classes dedicated to innovative methods of growing flowers, fruit and berry and ornamental crops, as well as presentations of new breeding products from the world's leading manufacturers.
The key event of the business events will be the Scientific and Practical Forum "Problems of Greening Large Cities", where leading industry experts will discuss issues of greening as a tool for greening urban space. For lovers of fruit and ornamental plants, a block of seminars "Berry aristocrats" will be organized to discuss the latest trends in the development of agricultural technologies for growing fruit and berry crops.
For the first time, the exhibition "FLOWERS" will be supplemented by a new section "Flower Cuisine", where unusual flower dishes will be presented in the best culinary traditions of Italy, France, India and Russia. Everyone who wishes can not only receive valuable advice and recipes from true connoisseurs of this fine art, but also take part in the tasting, enjoying dandelion wine, healing herbal teas, flower petal jam, as well as extraordinary desserts with candied violets.
One of the brightest events of the FLOWERS exhibition will be spectacular floristic shows from famous florists and flower couturiers.
