When growing cucumbers, you need to ensure that they always receive nutrients in an even amount. Cultivation of cucumbers takes place in two ways - seedling or non-seedling. Cold and low temperatures have a very negative effect on cucumbers. But at the same time, the seeds germinate well in soils, the temperature of which is from fourteen degrees.

How to care for cucumbers?

Any summer resident who decides to plant cucumbers in his garden should ensure that the vegetable beds are always clean and free of weeds. In the first three weeks, while the seedlings of cucumbers are tiny, the procedure of loosening the soil should be carefully carried out to a depth of two to four centimeters. After that, you will need to repeat the process at least once every seven days.

At the moment when not sprouts, but the fruits of a vegetable crop, begin to grow and take a certain shape, the plant will need to be watered often and abundantly. To increase yields, it is necessary to water every six or eight days before the cucumbers begin to bloom, and once every three days when the first fruits appear. You only need warm water for the process. In the event that moisture is very difficult to seep inside, it is necessary to create some punctures between the rows of cucumbers with the help of a pitchfork. Such a loosening system will help not to harm the roots of the vegetable crop. Also, do not water the cucumbers with a sharp and powerful jet of water from a hose, since moisture should get into the ground, and not on the plants themselves.

How to feed cucumbers?

Also, caring for cucumbers also includes feeding a vegetable crop, especially if the cucumbers are grown in a greenhouse. In such a situation, the procedure should be carried out at least five times in one season. As a means for feeding, it is necessary to select organic mineral fertilizers. For the very first time in a season, you need to feed the planted cucumbers at the beginning of the flowering period. To do this, you need to make a mixture of ten liters of water and add one teaspoon of substances such as urea, superphosphate and potassium sulfate there. Then the entire solution is mixed, after which it will be necessary to add about one glass of mullein or a tablespoon of sodium humate there.

At a time when cucumbers have already begun to bear fruit, and are grown outdoors, feeding should be done about four times. The first feeding consists of a solution of ten liters of water, a glass of chicken manure and one tablespoon of nitrophoska. But this only applies to the first procedure. For the following processes, the composition of the fertilizer will be different - ten liters of water, half a liter of mullein and one teaspoon of potassium sulfate. For one square meter, you need to take about five liters of such a solution. Instead of mullein or bird droppings, substrates or sodium humate can be used. All this belongs to the type of natural fertilizers.

Also, caring for a cucumber culture is also based on tying up shoots, which is carried out as the plant develops. As soon as the sixth or seventh leaf of a cucumber has appeared, you should pinch it to stimulate branching and increase yields.
