A person is so arranged that he remembers his health when something starts to hurt. To make this happen less often, there are many ways to prevent the body. One of them is the use of home-grown plants, for which you do not need to travel “across the three seas”. They grow everywhere and have been familiar to us for a long time
Elecampane
One of the best remedies for cleansing the body of unnecessary ballast and strengthening natural forces, which was appreciated by the ancient Greeks and Romans. And in Russia, the plant was revered by healers who believed in its 9 magical healing powers.
You can find it practically everywhere. Elecampane loves wet places, so you should look for it along the banks of streams and rivers, in thickets of bushes, in ravines and in forest glades.
You can recognize elecampane by a high (up to 2.5 m) furrowed stem, large leaves and inflorescences-baskets, reminiscent of a chamomile, only with thin yellow petals. But the healing powers are not possessed by the aerial part of the handsome giant, but by its knobby rhizomes along with fleshy roots, which are harvested in autumn or spring. Moreover, the roots of plants that have lived in this world for at least three years have a greater healing power.
The use of fresh rhizomes as an aromatic seasoning for dishes normalizes carbohydrate metabolism in the body, and therefore is of particular interest for people with diabetes. But even for relatively healthy people, such a seasoning will serve as a preventive measure against possible health problems.
As a general tonic, elecampane wine is prepared, which combines two components: a pleasant dry red wine and the healing powers of the plant roots. One liter of wine, which should be poured over 100 grams of dry roots, is enough for almost 3 weeks of restorative recharge. After 8 days of infusion of the healing drink, it should be filtered and taken daily in 50 ml.
Side effects:
Elecampane is contraindicated in pregnant women.
It is important to observe the dosage so that, instead of healing, you do not get stomach pain and urge to vomit.
Spring primrose
This modest spring flower is a frequent guest of summer cottages. But the fact that the primrose is the leader among green plants in terms of vitamin C content will be a revelation for some. Moreover, if you dry its leaves according to all the rules of this procedure, then in winter you will not have to buy ascorbic acid and provitamin A (carotene) at the pharmacy, since dry leaves retain all these riches. And a spring salad, to which you can add leaves, flowers, and plant stems, is just a divine dish.
Describing the appearance of a well-known plant would be overkill. I will only note that all parts of the plant are used for healing purposes: rhizomes, roots, leaves, flowers, only the seeds remain out of work.
The roots are dug up, as usual, in the fall. The collection of leaves must be done before the flowering of the primrose, in extreme cases, at the very beginning of flowering. The beginning of flowering is also the time of harvesting flowers.
It must be remembered that the spring primrose is a very gentle creation of nature. In order to preserve all the useful components of the herb, flowers and leaves should be spread out in a thin layer to dry immediately after harvest. Therefore, if you decide to stock up on vitamins for the winter, do not plan other important things for the day of harvesting raw materials.
Preparation of a tonic and tonic infusion of primrose will not take much time. We grind the properly dried grass into powder and pour one tablespoon of the powder with a glass of boiling water. After 20 minutes, we filter the infusion and drink the entire healing drink in three doses throughout the day. Some people eat the vegetable powder itself.
Side effects:
If your weakened immune system responds to primrose allergies, you should look for other restorative plants.
And, as always, we observe the dosage, because the vitamin can turn into poison if you overdo it with the dose.
