Phlox can grow in height from 10 to 50 centimeters, the height of an adult plant depends on the variety you choose. Therefore, if you want a curb phlox or, conversely, plan to plant it in the very center of the flower bed, be sure to pay attention to the information on the seed bag about the height of a particular variety.
For seedlings, seeds are sown until the end of March, since it is believed that it is impossible to grow phlox without seedlings in the middle zone of our country. Nutrient soil is poured into a container for seedlings, you should not take garden soil, it is better to purchase fatty earth or peat. Seeds are carefully scattered on top, then lightly sprinkled with earth. Water with a spray bottle with water at room temperature.
The first sprouts will appear pretty soon - after a week or two, the container with seedlings will actively "turn green". Almost immediately after the emergence of phlox shoots, it will be necessary to fertilize with mineral fertilizer for the first time. After the appearance of 4-5 real leaves, the sprouts will need to dive. Then, a week after the pick, we carry out one more top dressing. Top dressing is generally important for phloxes; during the season it will be necessary to water these flowers several times using organic and mineral fertilizers.
Plants are planted on a flower bed in open ground in May, as soon as stable warm weather is established, without drops and the likelihood of frost.
By the way, phlox reproduce well by self-sowing, so it is advisable to choose a place for their permanent "residence" so that then not to touch the flower bed for several years. With proper feeding and periodic thinning of plants, phloxes will delight you with flowering and aroma for more than one year.

Unfortunately, in recent years, I see it less and less often in flower gardens and flower beds, and in city parks it seems that they have stopped planting it altogether. Although this is undeserved, because snapdragons are distinguished by their unpretentiousness, duration of flowering, a variety of colors, and endurance. Snapdragon blooms from early summer to mid-fall!
Its seeds, if you do not want to tinker with seedlings, can be sown immediately on a prepared flower bed, but if you want to get a flowering plant as early as possible, then it is better to plant seedlings. In any container intended for growing seedlings, we pour purchased soil or a mixture of garden soil with peat or fatty earth. Sprinkle the seeds on top and press them lightly into the ground. Moisten with a spray bottle. We put it in a warm, bright place and wait for the shoots, not forgetting to moisten the ground as necessary. The first shoots will appear in 15-20 days. Flowers grow rather slowly, especially in the first few weeks. After the appearance of the first pair of leaves, in order to avoid the appearance of rot, the sprouts are sprinkled with charcoal crushed into dust.
It can be planted in open ground in early May, since this plant is not afraid of light frosts and easily tolerates them. It is advisable to choose a place for a flower bed not shaded, otherwise the snapdragon will stretch up in search of light and will be weak and stunted. After transferring plants to open ground for the first time, be sure to monitor the moisture content of the soil. When the plant takes root, it will rather easily tolerate a short-term drought.
