Such a "set" is an excellent stimulator for the growth of seedlings and an excellent assistant for the rapid growth of fruits.
Plant roots easily assimilate chicken manure, and its natural composition allows you to keep the salt balance of the soil unchanged without increasing it. In addition, this fertilizer is not washed out of the soil for a very long time. Onions with potatoes, garlic, raspberries with strawberries, as well as various garden trees react especially well to feeding with chicken droppings.
It is perfectly acceptable to use chicken manure as a fertilizer for cucumbers. Many gardeners are afraid to do this due to the fact that cucumbers are extremely sensitive to the uric acids contained in chicken humus. However, if you do not exceed the concentration and do not give these dressings too often, you can achieve very good results!
Features of use
Most often, chicken manure is used as a fertilizer in the form of a solution. At the same time, it is important not to forget that fresh and wet manure in its pure form has a detrimental effect on the root system of plants. That is why it is always necessary to breed it!
Feeding chicken manure can be used both before planting various crops, and in the process of their active growth. In this case, it does not hurt to take care of the availability of the required volume of concentrated infusion in advance and add it from time to time during watering. In order to prepare a concentrate, a previously prepared container is filled with humus to the middle, after which this humus is poured with a sufficient volume of water. Then the resulting composition is thoroughly mixed and sent to stand in a warm place for several days. And when it ferments, you can start using it. The concentrate prepared in a 1: 1 ratio is good because it does not decompose for a rather long period, that is, it can be used from spring to right until autumn. And in order to use such a composition as a fertilizer, it is enough to dilute in ten liters of water from half a liter to a liter of the concentrate prepared in the above way immediately before its use.
It does not hurt to know that the soil with plants already growing on it is best fertilized either after rain, or after half an hour after regular watering.
Is pelleted chicken manure suitable?
In the absence of fresh chicken manure, it is not forbidden to purchase it in granular form. And, by the way, the granules have their advantages - firstly, they have no smell, and secondly, thanks to special heat treatment, weed seeds and larvae of harmful insects were completely eliminated from them. Some manufacturers successfully use technologies that do not provide for heating the droppings - this approach allows you to save all the useful components in it. And the granules can be stored much longer - in this form they can easily lie for up to six months, while fresh chicken droppings decompose quickly enough, losing the lion's share of nitrogen.
Granules can also be used dry, the main thing is that the plant roots simply do not touch them. As a rule, no more than 150 grams of granules are consumed per square meter of area, and 300 grams of this valuable raw material are usually evenly distributed under trees or bushes. Also, if desired, a solution can be prepared from the granules - in order to water the seedlings with them during planting, one part of the granules is diluted in fifty parts of water. And when the seedlings take root and grow slightly, the composition is made even less saturated (twice), based on a ratio of 1: 100! As you can see, everything is not so difficult, but the results are almost always very pleasing!
