Young Russian (lat. Sempervivum ruthenicum) - herbaceous perennial plant with fleshy leaves, belonging to the genus
Rejuvenated (lat. Sempervivum) from the family
Crassula (lat. Crassulaceae) … This species differs from other species of the genus by yellow flower petals, while the petals of most species of the genus Molodilo are colored pinkish-reddish. In the wild, the plant is not found so often, and therefore is under the protection of the defenders of the plant world of our planet. Therefore, its edible and healing capabilities are not used by humans.
Habitat
Like many species of the genus Molodilo, the plant prefers dry places, where water does not have the opportunity to stagnate. These are rocky or sandy mountain slopes or dry meadows in pine forests. In the wild, Molodilo Russian can be found in the southern territories of the European part of our country, as well as in the Balkans.
Description
The rejuvenated Russian is a perennial herb with succulent fleshy leaves, growing in height up to twenty to thirty-five centimeters. The grooved stems are covered with glandular short hairs and bear oblong-lanceolate leaves with sharp tips and cilia adorning the edges of the leaf plate. The surface of the stem leaves is covered with hairs on both sides. The leaves of the rosette are more oblong than, for example, that of Molodil roofing, and therefore the rosette does not so much resemble a roof of tiles turned upside down, as a frightened green hedgehog bristling with its fleshy needles. Nature painted the tips of green leaves in a burgundy-purple color for a change.
In July-August, the top of the succulent stem is decorated with a corymbose inflorescence formed by small stellate graceful flowers with greenish-yellow petals. The flower corolla is protected from external intrusions by a calyx pubescent from the outside of the pointed-nosed sepals accreted at the base, the length of which is less than the length of the corolla. In the center of the flower, numerous stamens are comfortably located, turning yellow with their anthers. Despite its small size, the inflorescence looks very attractive and picturesque, setting the viewer up for philosophical conversations and arousing sincere admiration for the work of the Creator of the flora and life on Earth.
Pollinated hermaphrodite flowers are reborn into polyspermous fruits, the surface of which is protected from the vicissitudes of the weather by glandular hairs. Reproduction of the plant occurs with the help of seeds and daughter rosettes of fleshy leaves that are born in abundance around the mother rosette.
Usage
The Russian was rejuvenated - a relatively rare plant in the wild, which fell into the Red Data Books of several countries. With healing abilities similar to those of the Roofing Rejuvenator, the plant is not included in the list of medicinal herbs due to the protection of its presence on the planet.
As for its decorative qualities, the attractiveness of the Russian Molodil makes him a welcome participant in summer cottages of any type. As they say in the English-language floriculture literature, Molodil Russian has "a beautiful soft appearance" and "a neat habit" ("a neat habit"). That is, the neat appearance of a plant with fleshy juicy leaves and a charming loose inflorescence of star-shaped flowers is good for any kind of flower garden, where it can be provided with a sunny piece of land that does not provoke stagnant water. Most often, such a flower garden is an alpine slide, a rocky garden that best creates favorable conditions for the life of an unpretentious, drought-resistant and cold-resistant plant.
