With dysentery, as well as a wound healing agent, a decoction of young shoots and roots is used. Among other things, this broth also helps with all kinds of bone fractures and dislocations. Fruits and leaves not only have an antiscorbutic effect, but also increase appetite. As for the tincture of the leaves, this remedy can be used as a choleretic agent, as well as for various uterine bleeding, for endometritis and for subinvolution of the uterus. Science has confirmed the high antimicrobial activity of a substance such as berberine: this substance has a tonic effect on the uterus.

As an antiscorbutic agent, as well as for cholelithiasis and to improve appetite, you can prepare the following broth: take a little less than two tablespoons of Amur barberry per one glass of boiling water, this mixture is infused for thirty to forty minutes. The resulting mixture is recommended to be taken in half a glass four times a day, about half an hour before meals.
With severe bleeding, with various liver diseases, as well as with disturbances in the activity of the intestines, the following decoction should be prepared: one glass of boiling water is taken for two teaspoons of dry bark or crushed plant roots, then this mixture is infused for four hours. This mixture must be filtered, and then start taking one tablespoon every hour.
The following decoction is used as a choleretic agent: three parts of Amur barberry leaves are poured with five parts of fifty percent alcohol, then this mixture is infused for two to three weeks in a warm cool place. Such a decoction is taken twenty to twenty-five drops three times a day, such a course of treatment should be about two to three weeks.
