When buying a suburban area, house or summer cottage, any owner, in addition to connecting communications to his future land ownership, is interested in access roads. After all, from the condition in which they are, how much more money needs to be invested in them, if necessary, the final decision on the purchase of real estate will be. How to properly lay the road in the country house to your site and how much money will such a "pleasure" cost a Russian citizen?

If you need a good road to the country

Many people understand that they cannot do without a road and normal access roads at the dacha. A good road is also the opportunity to come to the dacha in winter, during the rainy season, this is a convenience when building a country house, when various trucks must drive up to the site, bringing building material. After all, today many urban dwellers are moving to permanent residence outside the city. If there is a good road from the dacha to the nearest asphalt, then living outside the city, in the fresh air and among nature will be the best alternative for a year-round pastime in the bustle of the city.

So, if a dacha, a suburban area, a country house are good for everyone, but the road to them leaves much to be desired, you need to go the expensive, but short way, not expecting mercy from the local authorities, when they bother to lay asphalt everywhere or fill at least the road with gravel.

A good summer cottage road and the entrance to the house should not be covered with huge puddles during the rainy season, they should not have a layer of mud, clay, on which, not like a car, it will be impossible to walk on its own, even in rubber boots. So where to start your actions if you decide to independently arrange the driveways to the house?

Step 1. Layout and first layers of the future road

The road needs to be planned. Without a plan and a clear idea of how the road surface will be laid, it is not worth starting to build it. The section of the road that will need to be used is measured. It is good if it is even from the end point to the very dacha. But if there are drops on it, then too steep slopes of the road (more than 12 percent) will have to be turned around by road turns. And these are additional costs.

Every road builder will tell you that specialists build the correct road in layers. In this “layered cake”, the most important point is its base, on which the rest of the layers will lie. The better the foundation is prepared, the longer the road surface will last.

The top layer of soil on the future road is removed. Up to 50 cm of earthen soil is removed from a peat or clay surface, only the upper thin layer from a sandy surface. Now it's time to tamp the soil cut. Large crushed stone is laid on it, then smaller. A "pillow" of sand is poured on top. Such a preparatory layer of the road will cost the road owner up to 300 rubles per square meter.

Sometimes the road substrate is made more expensive, but at the same time the most durable - slabs of concrete are laid (by the way, such used slabs will be much cheaper than new ones) and monolithic liquid concrete is poured on top, which holds these slabs together.

Step 2. At the finish line

Now you need to make no less important decision than the preparation of the road base - how to make the finishing coating on it? An inexpensive option is a primer or filling the road with soil. However, such a road surface, firstly, is short-lived, and secondly, in spring floods and in autumn rains, it will be quite difficult to get home on it.

A good medium cost option is to sprinkle the road with asphalt crumbs. Sandy asphalt crumbs produce a smoother road surface. But in principle, all types of asphalt crumb will be durable and easy to use.

Hot asphalt crumb is placed on the prepared road surface and leveled, while compacting with a vibrating plate.

If such a road also has a curb, then the canvas will not slide to the sides over time and will serve more than one five-year period under repair conditions. An asphalt road surface costs up to 500 rubles per square meter for those wishing to make such a road (although it is possible to negotiate with individual road building organizations and cheaper - for 300-400 rubles per square meter).

Another option for paving the finish line is concrete. Concrete pavement is more durable than asphalt, but also quite expensive.

In general, if we calculate the costs of building a road to the dacha from start to finish, then we can assume that this process is not only long, but also quite costly. At least for a certain section of the road, you need to have 100 or more thousand rubles. Therefore, if the plot offered for sale has a bad road, you should talk with its owners about a significant discount on the arrangement of local roadways.
