It is not difficult to identify such a deception: consider the bottom of the container. The correct seedling should have roots in the holes. You can simply take it by the trunk and lift it if a clod of earth has separated from the pot, and you will see how it is entwined with roots in the shape of a given container - this is a sign of quality.
