Safe products are in demand in organic farming. Green soap is part of this group, popular against pests and diseases, but is it so effective? Let's figure out the real possibilities of the drug, when and from what it helps and with what it is combined

What is green soap?

A universal drug used in different ways: in mono form, as an additive (herbal infusions, chemical preparations) is known under the name "Green Soap". The safety of the product is evidenced by the composition: vegetable oils, natural fats, potassium salts of fatty acids, water. These components are not harmful to birds, microorganisms, bees, animals and earthworms.

The main advantage of green soap is the ability to use it at any stage of the growing season: flowering, harvesting. The aqueous solution helps to cope with the spread of aphids, scale insects, ticks, thrips and other parasites in the garden. When mixed with chemicals, the spectrum of action is wider. Z / soap is an irreplaceable assistant in indoor floriculture.

As an independent tool (without the addition of other drugs), soap has disadvantages: ineffectiveness, the need for multiple repeated treatments.

How does green soap "work"

In its pure form, green soap is of little use and acts exclusively on adult arthropods and insects. Its adhesion ability is to envelop the insect. The resulting film blocks the ability to move and clogs the respiratory tract, leading to the death of pests.

The drug is active against aphids, whiteflies, thrips, slobbering pennits, ticks and other wingless parasites. The solution is prepared on the basis of 10 liters of water:

• from aphids, whiteflies, ticks take 200-400 g of s / soap;

• in case of damage by a scabbard 200-300 g.

A good result is obtained only with careful processing of the plant (abundant even shedding of leaves on both sides is required), plus there should be no precipitation in the coming hours. You need to carry out several treatments with an interval of 5-7 days until complete destruction.

For convenience, you can buy ready-to-use green soap - spray packaging. It costs around 60-100 rubles, the volume is 700 ml.

Applying green soap

The product is used in two versions: in pure form and as an auxiliary product. The main purpose of green soap is to enhance the effect of various insecticides due to the formation of a sticky environment that promotes the formation of a stable film.

Z / soap is an ideal pair for insecticides (Karbofos, Decis, Intavir, etc.). The method of application consists in adding 40-100 g of the drug to 10 l of the working solution. Such a mixture accelerates the death of leaf-sucking and gnawing pests.

Z / soap works well when paired with fungicides. Due to its properties, it creates an optimal environment for combating diseases of the garden, flower garden. The main component for the destruction of rust, fungi, powdery mildew, etc. is copper sulfate. The mixture is prepared according to the instructions for vitriol, soap is added to warm water (40 g + 800 ml), which is diluted with a solution of vitriol concentrate.

A good recipe for powdery mildew and fungal infections: soap + soda ash. For 10 liters of water, half a glass of soap and 1 tbsp. l. soda. When spreading colonies of herbivorous bugs, spraying is done from three components: 1 tbsp. l. soap + 1 tbsp. l. turpentine + 2 tbsp. l. kerosene, all components are diluted in 2 liters of water.

Ground pepper with crushed garlic (20 and 50 g, respectively) is effective against ticks. Soap solution is made in 10 liters of water + 200 g of green soap. It is important to know what green soap should not be combined with. An alkaline reaction negates the effect of growth stimulants, therefore, simultaneous use with Zircon and Epin is impossible.

Soap-tobacco infusion works great against leaf-sucking plants. Preparation: Brew 200 g of tobacco in 2 liters of water. After a day, strain, pour into a 10-liter container, add 1 tbsp. l soap, top up with water. If you have wood ash, you don't have to buy tobacco. Make an ash infusion: 1 glass of ash + 5 liters of water + 1 tbsp. l. soap.
