There is not much time left until the New Year … There is not much time left before the holiday, for which we are preparing especially for a long time and carefully, meticulously choosing outfits for ourselves, products for the festive table and gifts for loved ones
Many parents often wonder how to entertain their children while adults are sitting at the festive table, dancing and talking. Not everyone can afford to hire a nanny for 5-6 hours, and that is how long a festive event or banquet lasts on average.
Of course, taking your child with you to an anniversary, wedding or New Year, everyone understands that you can forget about a quiet vacation. A child will be bored at the same table with adults, and not all adult conversations need to be heard by children, so in such situations the question arises of how to organize a holiday so that both adults and children will like it.
Children's festive table
If you plan to get together in a large company, where many have children, the best solution would be to organize a separate children's table. Firstly, this is how the problem of proper nutrition for the child is solved. All parents know how unhealthy some products and dishes of the adult festive table are for children - spicy, salty, fatty - it is better to exclude all this from the children's menu.
Therefore, for the children's festive table, you will have to prepare food separately. It is not so difficult, and large material investments will not be required. It will be good to make one hot dish, usually mashed potatoes and cutlets or chicken, a couple of salads - as an option, you can make vegetable and cheese salads, and, of course, fruits and sweets. It is good to put more of them on a separate plate, which will certainly be in demand. We must not forget about drinks: water, juices, compotes and lemonade.
It is better to put a children's table in a separate room or a short distance from the main table. This place can be decorated with balloons and fun posters. Before the event, remove from the room all breakable and dangerous objects, as well as especially valuable things. Remember that children are children, and no matter how well they are brought up, a child can break or break something by accident.
Be sure to choose the oldest and most responsible of the children, and delegate to him the authority to monitor the situation at the table. And, of course, do not forget to look into the nursery from time to time to control the situation.
Children's entertainment program
The ideal option would be to hire a children's animator for the duration of the holiday and banquet, especially when it comes to celebrating not at home, but in a restaurant or cafe. But not everyone has such an opportunity, and if you do not want to spend money on paying for a clown or a magician, then you will need to come up with a script for children's games on your own.
On various sites on the Internet, you can find a lot of different children's games and fun. The following entertainments are especially popular: "Crocodile", "Zhmurki" and "Fanta". These games are easy to play, they do not require a lot of space and costs. Both children and adults can play the same "Fanta" - everyone will have fun.
If you have board games like "Monopoly", lotto or checkers at home, be sure to take them out and put them in a prominent place in the children's room. Entertainment of this kind does not require the presence of adults, but children really like it. You will have time to sit at the table and talk while your child enthusiastically plays with other children.
Walk and gifts
Do not forget that if the holiday takes place during the day, then you can organize a children's walk, this is both useful and entertaining. A child does not have to sit indoors all day, and there is probably a playground next to your house. If the age of the children allows them to go for a walk without an adult, then a couple of quiet hours are provided for both you and your guests. Just keep in mind that after a walk, the children should be fed with a hot dish or at least given tea, they will certainly return hungry.
To fully recreate the festive atmosphere, you can prepare small gifts for children. It can be something sweet, like candy or small chocolates, or a small pocket toy. Remember that your child also wants to have fun, and a little rest will not hurt you, so prepare everything in advance and the event will be excellent!
