Despite the fact that Persian cyclamen is a rather unpretentious plant to care for, it will need to be transplanted regularly. For favorable plant growth, it is recommended to select the following composition of the land mixture: one part of humus, peat and sand, as well as three parts of leafy land. As for the acidity of the soil, it should be slightly acidic. It is noteworthy that the stagnation of water in the soil can have an extremely negative effect on the development of Persian cyclamen. It is worth noting that to ensure a longer flowering period of this plant, it will be necessary to ensure a constant temperature regime of about fifteen degrees Celsius. In the event that the soil is excessively wet, the tuber of Persian cyclamen can rot. In this case, it remains only to replace this plant with a new one.
Throughout the entire dormant period, it will be necessary to provide the following temperature regime for this plant: in the interval between twelve and fifteen degrees of heat. During this period, it is recommended to water the plant from time to time. The dormant period begins around April and ends in the month of September.
As for the reproduction of Persian cyclamen, it can occur both by sowing seeds and using tubers.
In the summer, this culture will need rest, when the plant should be kept in a fairly cool temperature regime, while the plant should be watered not only from time to time, but also with a very small amount of water. For irrigation, acidified water should be selected, the temperature of which is also about twelve to fifteen degrees. It is noteworthy that you do not need to spray the leaves of Persian cyclamen.
Not only flowers are endowed with decorative properties, but also the leaves of this plant. In shape, the leaves of the plant will be rounded-kidney-shaped, and in color, these leaves are green, with a fairly light pattern, while the bottom color of the plant will be reddish. The flowering of Persian cyclamen occurs in autumn and winter. The color of the flowers themselves can be different: white, purple, crimson, red or even lilac. The length of such flowers will be about five to eight centimeters. The flowers of Persian cyclamen are endowed with very gracefully bent petals.
