Selenginskaya wormwood is one of the plants of the family called Asteraceae or Compositae, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Artemisia selengensis Turcz. Description of Selenginskaya wormwood

Selenginskaya wormwood is a perennial plant endowed with a woody rhizome, the thickness of which does not even reach one centimeter. The stem of this plant is straight, its height will fluctuate between seventy-five and one hundred and twenty centimeters, such a stem will be painted in reddish-brown or light greenish tones. Most often, the stem of Selenga wormwood is furrowed and bare, as well as leafy, simple or almost simple. The leaves of this plant will be bare, from above they are painted in green tones, and from below they will be white-cobweb-felt. The lower and partly the middle stem leaves of Selenginskaya wormwood will fall off during flowering, their length is eight to twelve centimeters. The plate of such leaves will be almost oval or broadly oval, as well as pinnately dissected, with only five shares, but sometimes there can be seven of them. The upper stem leaves of this plant will be sessile, they are cut into three to five lobes, or they can be simple, the uppermost leaves will be short and linear, they are not exposed from the inflorescence. The baskets of this plant can be either sessile or be on legs, the length of such baskets is three to four millimeters, and the width is about two to two and a half millimeters. Such baskets of Selenga wormwood will be very close together on rather short branches, which, in turn, will be slightly deflected or pressed. As a result, a long narrow paniculate inflorescence is formed. There are only eight to twelve flowers of this plant, they will be pistillate, the corolla itself is filiform-tubular, and the disc flowers will be bisexual, there are only ten to twelve of them. The corolla is punctate glandular and conical. The length of the achenes of Selenga sagebrush will slightly exceed one millimeter, they will be smooth, ovoid, flat, they are painted in brown tones, and at the top such achenes will be endowed with an uneven edge, which in turn will be somewhat pulled back.

Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Far East, Daurskiy region of Eastern Siberia, Mongolia and Northeastern China.

Description of the medicinal properties of Selenginskaya wormwood

Selenginskaya wormwood is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes inflorescences, stems and leaves.

An aqueous infusion prepared on the basis of inflorescences, leaves and herbs of Selenginskaya wormwood is recommended for use for diarrhea, enterocolitis, internal bleeding, colitis, flatulence for adults and children, and such remedies are also used to improve appetite. Fresh leaves of this plant are indicated for use for abrasions, wounds and bruises, in addition, the leaves of Selenginskaya wormwood are used in the form of an alcoholic tincture.

With flatulence and all of the above diseases, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take two teaspoons of chopped dry herb of Selenga wormwood in one glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be infused for about two hours in a sealed container, after which it is recommended to strain such a healing mixture very thoroughly. Such a remedy is taken on the basis of Selenginskaya wormwood three times a day, about twenty to thirty minutes before the start of a meal, one or two tablespoons.
