Description of the oriental plane tree
The oriental plane tree or plane tree is a tree whose height will fluctuate between fifty-five and sixty meters. The bark of this plant is colored in light green tones, while such bark will flake off in rather large plates, which are clothed in irregular shapes. The width of the leaves of the eastern plane tree will be about ten to twenty centimeters, at the very base, such leaves will be deep-lobed and wide-wedge-shaped. In this case, the blades turn out to be five to seven times longer than their width, the leaves are whole-edged and bare, sometimes they can be endowed with rare teeth. The heads of the fruits of this plant are two to three pieces on the stem, and their thickness is two to two and a half centimeters. The nuts of this plant are endowed with long hairs and a conical top. It is noteworthy that this plant is also thermophilic. Under natural conditions, the eastern plane tree is found in the Caucasus, and this plant will be cultivated in the Crimea and Central Asia.
Description of the medicinal properties of the eastern plane tree
The oriental plane tree is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the leaves, roots and bark of the trunks of this plant for medicinal purposes.
The presence of such valuable healing properties is recommended to be explained by the content of sitosterol and triterpenoids in the bark of the trunk of this plant, while the following phenolcabonic acids will be present in the leaves: caffeic and p-coumaric acids, as well as flavonoids, anthocyanins in the hydrolyzate delphinidin and cyanidin. The fruits will contain sitosterol, higher aliphatic alcohols and their derivatives, as well as the higher aliphatic hydrocarbon p-heptriacontane.
A decoction prepared on the basis of the roots of this plant is recommended for use as a hemostatic agent, as well as for snake bites. In homeopathy, the bark of young trunks of the oriental sycamore is quite widespread: such a remedy is used as an anti-cancer agent. For flu, toothache, diarrhea and dysentery, boiled bark of young trunks with vinegar should be used.
An infusion based on the leaves of this plant is indicated for use in blepharitis and conjunctivitis, and is also used as an anticancer agent. It is noteworthy that in Western Europe this plant is considered a tobacco substitute.
As a hemostatic agent, it is recommended to use the following healing agent based on this plant: to prepare such a healing agent, you will need to take twenty grams of crushed eastern sycamore roots in one glass of boiling water. The resulting healing mixture should be boiled in a water bath for about twenty minutes, after which this mixture should be very thoroughly filtered. After that, boiled water should be added to the resulting drug up to the original volume. Take such a healing agent three to four times a day, one or two tablespoons as a hemostatic agent. It is noteworthy that in addition to this, such a drug can also be used as an antidote for snake bites: such a drug is taken two to three times a day, half a glass or one third of a glass.
