The basal leaves of this plant are endowed with rather long protruding hairy petioles and a plate, which will be rounded-cordate in outline. Such leaves will be three- or five-segmented into lanceolate, elongated and slightly expanding lobes upward, such lobes, in turn, will be incised-toothed. The upper stem leaves of the multiflorous buttercup are two- or four-divided into serrated or linear-lanceolate all-marginal lobes. The leaf blades of this plant are endowed with pressed hairs on both sides. Usually, the flowers of the multiflorous buttercup are numerous, and their diameter is about two to three centimeters. The sepals of this plant are obtuse and ovoid, along the edge they will also be endowed with spaced hairs. There are only five to seven petals of this plant, and they will be painted in bright yellow tones. The receptacle of the multiflorous buttercup will be hairy. The length of the fruit of this plant leaves three and a half millimeters, they are naked and compressed from the sides, most often they are also endowed with a straight and short nose.
The flowering of the multiflorous buttercup falls on the period from May to June. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of many regions of the European part of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, the south of Eastern Siberia, the mountains of Central Asia and Western Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers clearings and edges, light forests in clearings, dry floodplain and dry meadows, most often forest-steppe and forest belt. Sometimes this plant settles among fields, on embankments and in secondary habitats near roads.
Description of the medicinal properties of the multiflorum buttercup
Buttercup multiflorum is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the entire aerial part of this plant for medicinal purposes. It is recommended to harvest such raw materials throughout the entire flowering period of this plant.
The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content of ranunculin glycoside, ascorbic acid, tannins, saponins and carotene in the composition of this plant. The flowers of the multiflorum buttercup contain carotenoids, and the fruits will contain essential oil.
On the basis of this plant, preparations are made that have the ability to cause severe irritation of the mucous membrane of the entire digestive tract. It is noteworthy that when such drugs act on the heart, the amplitude of heart contractions will decrease, and they will also cause a strong narrowing of the vascular lumen.
An aqueous infusion prepared on the basis of a fresh plant is recommended to be used in small doses as a tonic, and is also used for headaches and stomach pains.
