Description of the peach bell

The peach-leaved bell is a perennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between fifty and seventy centimeters. The stem of this plant is either simple or slightly branched, as well as naked and endowed with milky sap. Peach bellflower leaves are glabrous and rather long, as well as narrow crenate-toothed. The flowers of this plant are not numerous and rather large; they will most often gather in a one-sided racemose inflorescence. The corolla of this plant is colored either blue or light purple, such a corolla will be broadly bell-shaped. The flowers of the peach-leaved bell are drooping, after flowering, the pedicel will straighten and the box will begin to stick up, as it were. The flowering of this plant occurs in the summer period.

Under natural conditions, the peach-leaved bell is found on the territory of the European part of Russia in the central and southern regions, in the Ciscaucasia, Belarus, Ukraine and Western Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers edges, glades, forests and places among shrubs. It should be remembered that this plant is not only decorative, but also a very valuable honey plant.

Description of the medicinal properties of the peach bell

The peach bell is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb, leaves and roots of this plant for medicinal purposes.

The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of ursolic acid, cyclitol mesionosite, polyacetylene compounds, coumarins, flavonoids, nitrogen-containing compounds of betaine and choline, as well as phenol carboxylic acids and their derivatives in the aerial part of the plant. It is noteworthy that vitamin C and steroids are present in the stems of this plant, and the following substances are found in the leaves: vitamin C, inulin and cyclitol meso-inositol monoacetate.

It should be noted that it was experimentally found that the peach bell is endowed with very valuable antiulcer and anticonvulsant effects. As for traditional medicine, the infusion of the herb of this plant is quite widespread here. This infusion is recommended for use in various diseases that were caused by lifting weights, as well as epilepsy and various female diseases, and besides that, it is also used as a pain reliever.

As for veterinary medicine, a decoction of the herb is used for coughing in sheep. It is noteworthy that the roots and young shoots of the peach bell are quite acceptable to use for making salads.

For female diseases and epilepsy, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on a peach bell: to prepare such a remedy, you will need to take one tablespoon of dry crushed grass for one glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be infused for two hours, after which it is recommended to strain this mixture on the basis of a peach bell. Take the resulting healing agent based on this plant on an empty stomach three to four times a day, one third or one fourth of a glass. It is important to follow both all the rules for the preparation of such a product, and all the rules for its reception.
