Amanita muscaria is one of the plants of the family called lamellar, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Amanita muscarina (Fr.) Quel. As for the name of the red fly agaric family itself, in Latin it will be like this: Agaricaceae.

Description of red fly agaric

Amanita muscaria is a so-called saprophyte mushroom, endowed with a fruiting body in the form of a cap, which is on a leg with a height of seven to fifteen centimeters. The leg of such a mushroom will be white, at the top it is narrowed, and at the bottom it will be tuberous-thickened, the diameter of the cap of the red fly agaric will fluctuate between seven and twenty centimeters. It is noteworthy that in young mushrooms the cap is almost spherical, in mature ones it will be either almost flat with a weakly striped edge, or convex. The peel of the red fly agaric is colored either orange or bright red; it is endowed with rather large white or yellowish warts. The pulp of such a mushroom will be white, but under the skin of the cap it is reddish or yellow. In the fruiting body of this fungus, very toxic substances were found: the alkaloids muscaridin and muscarine, choline, trimethylamine, as well as the antibiotic dye muskafurin, which should be classified as colicoric acid derivatives.

Description of the medicinal properties of the red fly agaric

First of all, it should be noted that the red fly agaric is poisonous. As for traditional medicine, here the fly agaric is quite widely used for the treatment of cancerous tumors and pulmonary tuberculosis. Water-alcohol stretchings, as well as drops and tinctures based on this mushroom, are recommended to be rubbed with rheumatism.

The peoples of Kamchatka, Alaska and Chukotka used the red fly agaric in rather small doses for various nervous and mental disorders, to relieve physical fatigue and to raise their tone. In central Russia, a variety of drugs were prepared, which contain the red fly agaric. Such drugs have been used for various diseases of the internal organs, tumors, multiple sclerosis, gout, eczema, rheumatism and dysfunction of the spinal cord.

It should be noted that the red fly agaric is endowed with a very valuable and effective strong insecticidal effect, that is, the ability to destroy insects. For this reason, this mushroom is often used to kill bugs and flies. It should be noted that the destruction of flies is also endowed with a rather large preventive value and will help prevent many infectious diseases.

To kill flies, it is recommended to use the following tool based on red fly agaric: for this you need to take the cap and leg of this mushroom and cut it into fairly small pieces. The resulting mixture should be poured over with milk or water, and then placed near the window. When such an infusion dries up, then it should be replaced with a new one. It should be noted that in this case, the destruction of flies turns out to be very effective and occurs rather quickly.

In addition, the following means is also used to exterminate flies: a broth prepared on the basis of red fly agaric is recommended to be poured into plates, and then filter paper is placed in such plates.

In addition, the red fly agaric can also be used to destroy bedbugs. To prepare such a tool, you will need to take the cap and leg of the red fly agaric and boil them into a liquid gruel. The resulting gruel should be used to lubricate the cracks in which the bugs are located. It is recommended that such a tool be updated from time to time if the bugs still remain.
