To meet winter fully armed, today you need to take care of harvesting herbs that will help you to more easily endure everyday hardships. They grow everywhere, one has only to throw off the accumulated laziness and go beyond the outskirts of the summer cottage territory
Veronica
How successfully two words merged in this name: "faith" and "nika", as if strengthening in a person the belief in victory over diseases with the help of blessed herbs. Some see Latin origins in the name, which in translation sounds like "real medicine".
More than a dozen species of plants with the name "Veronica" are used by folk healers. Among them is Veronica long-leaved, which is grown in flower beds, admiring its dense cone-shaped inflorescence, collected from medium-sized sky-blue flowers.
The roots and herb of Veronica have healing powers. The herb is harvested during the period when its blue-violet flowers begin to open. The roots are dug out during the resting period of the plant, that is, in the fall or in the spring.
Like many other medicinal herbs, Veronica has a variety of healing abilities. But we set out to defeat neuroses, and therefore we will consider a recipe for making a decoction from the roots, which will help relieve headaches, put in order a disturbed nervous system.
To prepare the broth, we need 1 teaspoon of the roots, previously crushed, and 250 ml of water. Immerse the roots in water and boil for 5 minutes over low heat. An hour later, when the broth is infused and cooled, we filter it through a fine strainer. The medicine is ready for use.
And now 4-5 times a day we pacify our upset nerves with two tablespoons of strained broth.
Side effects:
So far, the bad effects of using Veronica for medicinal purposes have not been noticed.
St. John's wort
Such a formidable name is combined with the amazing healing properties of the plant. Popular rumor is sure that St. John's wort cannot cope with just one disease in a hundred. Such a flattering opinion about the plant simply obliges you to get to know him for fruitful cooperation. In addition, its golden yellow flowers can be safely decorated with a summer cottage garden.
The herb St. John's wort possesses healing powers, which is harvested at the moment of full flowering of its sunny yellow flowers, without waiting for the flowers to turn into fruit ovaries. With pruning shears, scissors or a sharp knife, they carefully cut off the flowering top of the plant, capturing part of the stem with leaves, but not under the very root.
Loose bunches are formed from the cut bushes, which are hung for drying in a shaded and well-ventilated place, while enjoying the delicate aroma along the way.
St. John's wort does not do many medicines for 99 diseases out of a hundred. But we will focus on those that will support our nervous system not in the best moment of life.
Tea
The easiest drink to prepare, it can put a barrier to depression and nervous breakdowns. For a one-time serving, we need 2 rounded teaspoons of dry herb and 250 ml of water. We put the grass in water, put the vessel on the stove and, bringing the contents to a boil, remove from the stove.
We wait 4-5 minutes for the herb to give all its useful components to the tea, filter through a strainer or cheesecloth and enjoy fragrant tea, soothing the naughty nerves. After a few weeks, depression will leave your "body temple" if you drink a couple of cups of healing tea every day.
Infusion
A fairly simple method of preparation is combined with the amazing effect of the infusion on the human nervous system.
To prepare the infusion, one tablespoon of dry herb and a glass of boiling water are required. Pour boiling water over the grass and do other things for 10 minutes, while St. John's wort saturates the boiling water with medicinal components. Then we filter the infusion.
A couple of hours after eating (as a rule, it is obtained 3-4 times a day), we drink 100 ml of infusion until we feel that no tricks of loved ones or work colleagues can cause hysteria. The infusion helps with neuralgia, soothes the depleted central nervous system, supports cardiovascular diseases.
Side effects:
If you do not overdo it with doses, then you can not be afraid of side effects.
There are people in whom St. John's wort is able to increase the light sensitivity of their skin. In such cases, you should forget about the beaches and sunbathing while undergoing treatment with St. John's wort.
