Although culture grows in tropical conditions, in our area, and even in a room setting, it is not capricious and does not require much. By the way, you can even grow a pineapple bush with the help of a tuft, which is cut from fresh pineapple.

Under natural conditions, the pineapple bush reaches a height of six to eight tens of meters. The structure of the plant is characterized by the presence of a medium-sized stem, on which long and sharp leaves are everywhere, a root system and a kind of infructescence located in the upper part of the main shoot. Such a stem contains a pulp with a juicy and attractive taste in its inner part. The skin of the pineapple is very hard and ligneous. In South America, Southeast Asia and Africa, pineapples are highly prized and grown there for agriculture.

In natural conditions, pineapple growing in a tropical area surprises with its beauty and originality. Its rosette of leaves can be about two meters long. At home, of course, the size will be much more modest, but after two to four years, with proper care, the pineapple will delight its owner with a beautiful, large and juicy fruit. Of course, you will have to spend a lot of time and effort to care for the pineapple, but the result is really worth it. Seeds or cuttings from the stem of an adult plant can be excellent planting material. Although the most simple and easy way to grow pineapple in the room is by means of the top tuft taken from the fresh pineapple fruit.

Growing pineapple from seeds

Growing pineapple with seeds is considered the most difficult and time-consuming procedure. There are many explanations for this - for example, seedlings will appear only from purchased planting material. In fruits, the seeds are either completely absent, or are only miniature white rudiments. Such a seed, which can become planting material, should look like a semicircle about four millimeters long. Its color can be brownish, brownish or reddish.

Before the planting procedure begins for eighteen hours or a day, the seeds must be placed between several layers of wet wipes. After that, they are covered and placed in a warm place. Only after the seeds are swollen are they planted in a mixture of sand or peat. Which must be wet. The deepening and pits for planting should be one or two centimeters in size, not more.

Containers or pots for planting should be covered with glass or foil. The area for growing pineapple should be warm. The correct temperature regime will accelerate seedling and sprouting. In a normal room atmosphere, the first pineapple sprout will sprout only after a month or one and a half, sometimes three weeks are enough. But if you create such conditions when the temperature in the room reaches thirty, or even thirty-two degrees, then you will be able to enjoy the first sprouts in two or two and a half weeks.

But not only the temperature regime is of particular importance for pineapples. Moisturizing the soil and fertilizing the plant is also valuable for pineapple. After sowing, the pineapple needs to be fertilized every fifteen to twenty days. For this, it is necessary to take fertilizer compositions with a complex nature.

After several leaves are formed on fresh outlets, it is necessary to make a pick, for which they transfer the pineapple to a container for an older plant, taking a small lump of earth from the old place. The soil you need to grow pineapple properly is easy to create yourself. It is necessary to take and mix equally peat, humus, sand and soil from the garden. To protect the earth from infections, a little crushed charcoal is added to it. By the way, some of the sand is sometimes exchanged for perlite.
