Round-leaved hairy plant is an annual herb, the height of which will be about fifteen to seventy-five centimeters. In color, such a plant will be bluish-green, and its stem is straight and round. Moreover, most often the upper part of this stem is branched, while the lower stems are oblong-elliptical in shape. The umbrellas are quite small and will have long, thick and uneven beams. In one umbrella, there can be about eight to twelve flowers, which are on short pedicels, and the petals are painted in yellow tones. The fruits of the round-leaved hair follicles can be both oblong-ovate and elliptical, and they are dark brown in color, while the length will be about two and a half to three millimeters. The flowering of this plant occurs in the period from May to June, while the fruits ripen in the month of July and August.
This plant is found throughout the European part of Russia, as well as in the Far East, the Caucasus, Moldova, the Baltic States, and besides this, also in Western Siberia: in the Irtysh and Ob regions. For growth, this plant prefers fallow lands, borders, dry open slopes, roadsides; as a weed, the round-leaved bollush can be found on plantations and in crops.
Description of the medicinal properties of round-leaved hair follicle
For medicinal purposes, the herb of this plant is quite widespread: leaves, flowers and stems. Quercetin, rutin, falcarin, and quercetin glucoside were found in the roots of round-leaved hair follicle. The herb of this plant contains flavonoids, coumarin, saponins and phenolic compounds. The stems of the plant contain narcissin, rutin, quercetin, and isoramnetin. It is noteworthy that the leaves contain triterpenoids and vitamin C, while the flowers, in turn, contain quercetin, rutin, narcissin, isoquercitrin and vitamin C. The fruits of the round-leaved bollard contain saponins, tannins, essential oil and fatty oil, as well as it and glycerides of saturated acids, linoleic and oleic acid.
It should be noted that the round-leaved bullock is characterized by a rather valuable choleretic, wound healing, antipyretic, astringent and lactogenic effect. An infusion made from the herb of this plant is quite often used for purulent wounds, arthralgia, as well as for various gynecological diseases.
The fruits were previously used for one drug, which is endowed with choleretic properties, and also has a normalizing effect on the enzymatic system of the blood in experimental hepatitis. In addition, such a drug will also contribute to the normalization of the impaired bile secretion function of the liver.
With diarrhea, cholecystitis and various colds, it is recommended to use the following remedy as a lactogenic one: to prepare it, you will need to take one tablespoon of chopped dry herb for one glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture is infused for two or three hours, and then carefully filtered. Take this remedy about half an hour before the start of a meal three times a day, one third of a glass.
For cholecystitis, the following remedy is recommended: a glass of water is taken for fifteen grams of crushed dry roots. Then such a mixture is boiled over low heat for about six to eight minutes, after which it is left to infuse for an hour and filtered. This remedy is taken three times a day, one hundred milliliters.
