Kesha grapes

Grapes have long been famous for their pleasant sweet juicy taste. It is quite difficult to grow its berries, because the culture makes a lot of requirements for the composition and structure of the soil for growing, climate conditions, humidity, lighting and temperature. However, every year breeders develop new varieties that become less capricious, but at the same time resistant to frost, pests and diseases. For example, a domestic specialist in agrobiological science Ya. I. Potapenko bred a grape variety called "Kesha"

Description of the variety

Kesha grapes are a table form of the variety. This type of plant was bred by crossing two varieties - Frumoas Albe and Delight. Therefore, such a hybrid may have other names - for example, Delight Improved and FV-6-5. These grapes are characterized by early ripening. After planting, it will be possible to collect the first berries after one hundred and thirty days. Shrubs grow very well and quickly. Its vine also ripens quickly. The flowers of Kesha grapes are bisexual.

The bunches of berries in Kesha grapes can reach up to more than one kilogram of weight. Their shape may look like a cylinder or a cone. The abundance of the crop has a direct relationship with good and high-quality plant care. However, it is necessary to normalize the yield so that the quality of the fruits themselves is at their best.

Large-sized berries are located on each bunch. In fact, their placement is chaotic, due to which it is impossible to name any specific shape of the bunches. It is a white grape with an oval-shaped fruit and a dense inner flesh structure. There are several seeds inside the berries. The aroma of the berries is wonderful and their taste is amazing. Therefore, Kesha gained popularity among gardeners. Such berries are perfect even for a festive table.

The Kesha grape variety is characterized by high rates of stable harvest. Also, the plant self-pollinates. After planting the seedlings in the summer cottage, the first fruits can be harvested only after five years. However, you can graft the plant onto an old stem. Then fruiting will occur earlier. After the onset of the appearance of the harvest, the Kesha grapes will bear fruit every year. But at the same time, the gardener must take good care of the shrubs and feed them. This variety has a lot of advantages. Such grapes easily tolerate frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees. Once harvested, the fruits are great for transportation. Also, the variety is practically not afraid of all kinds of diseases. However, with a large amount of harvest, the berries themselves may become smaller in size. Carefully you need to feed it with nitrogen, because an excess of this substance can cause great harm to the culture.

Cultivation of Kesha grapes

The original Kesha grape variety has some planting requirements. They must be observed if the gardener wants to ultimately enjoy a rich and full-fledged tasty harvest. It is required to plant grape bushes on fertile soils. The ideal option would be black soil. At the same time, care must be taken to ensure that the soil is not too moist. If the groundwater is very close to the shrubbery, root rot may begin. It is best to plant Kesha grapes from the southern area of the garden plot. Optimal lighting and heat volume are observed here.

You can plant Kesha grapes on the territory either in the spring or in the fall. It is especially worth taking into account the peculiarities of the climate in a particular region. Shrubs are grown with seedlings or rootstocks, which are grafted onto old stems. Whenever possible, for planting seedlings, you need to choose the spring season, when the heat becomes stable. The optimum air temperature is ten to fifteen degrees.

When planting, seedlings must be placed in special holes prepared in advance. There should be a distance of one and a half meters between the specimens of grape bushes. Young shrubs have a fragile root system. Therefore, the landing must be done as carefully as possible. The root collar should be flush with the soil. From above it is necessary to fill the roots of the plant with garden soil, mixing it in advance with mineral fertilizing components. Immediately after planting, you need to water the plants with twenty liters of water per bush. Also, seedlings need support and tying.
