One of the famous such plants is the attractive and beautifully flowering Wanda orchid, which became the most popular a couple of centuries ago, appearing in the greenhouses of Europe and amazing residents of different cities with its aesthetic appearance

Today, the Wanda orchid as a houseplant can be found in many flower growers. And the explanation for such a wide distribution of the flower is very simple and understandable. Plant height can sometimes reach one meter. The appearance of the Vanda orchid is very effective, and the leaves of the plant are elongated and decorated with inflorescences that resemble tassels. The Vanda orchid is unpretentious in care, and can bloom several times within one year. The decorative qualities of one inflorescence on an orchid persist for two and a half months. From ten to twenty flowers can bloom on a plant at a time. The color of the plant can also be very different. Blue Wanda orchids are of particular value among flower growers. First of all, this is because it is a rather rare species that is produced by crossing crops.

There are other features of the plant as well. For example, the root system has power and strength. The roots can be up to two meters long. They have a bluish tint and a waxy surface layer. With their help, the plant receives the necessary nutrients and vitamins.

How to care for Wanda orchid?

Any tropical plant is not very comfortable and feels cozy in captivity. Therefore, when growing in a room for a plant, you need to create a special microclimate, as close as possible to natural. Ideally, the best place to develop an orchid would be a flower greenhouse. But not all growers and ordinary people can provide such a place for a beautiful southern culture. Therefore, when caring for an orchid at home, you need to understand that the plant does not have a long calm state and the orchid feeds mostly on components coming from the air, and not from the earth. The room temperature should vary from twenty to twenty-five degrees Celsius, but at night it is better to keep it slightly lower. Orchids grow well in humid air conditions. The air in the room should always be fresh. But at the same time, the risk of drafts must be avoided. During the day, sunlight has a beneficial effect on the condition and attractiveness of the Wanda Orchid.

In the absence of compliance with the temperature regime during the care of the plant or with a lack of air humidity, the flower will very soon begin to weaken. The shoots in this case will become very thin, and the leaves will turn yellow. The flowering period itself may either not come at all, or be very scarce.

Air humidity of sixty to eighty percent is considered the most ideal for an orchid. In the winter period of the year, the flower needs to be provided with additional highlighting. To artificially create such conditions, it is necessary to resort to the help of household moisturizers. A timely procedure for irrigating the roots and soil will also help.

The growers themselves almost never grow the Wanda Orchid in pots. The plant in baskets looks much more beautiful and looks better. In principle, this explains the need and importance of irrigation for a flower. Water the plant with water at a certain temperature, which should be warmer than the indoor air. The same goes for spraying, especially if the orchid is growing in a glass container.

Some orchid specimens are in high-rise transparent vases. Such plants require regular watering, subject to basic rules. For example. The water must be clean and free of salts and other microelements. It is necessary to pour moisture in such a way that the roots of the plant are also moistened, but the excess moisture will need to be poured out after twenty minutes. During this time, a sufficient volume of water will enter the flower, and the air in the room will also be humidified. Draining the water will help to avoid root rot, which is very often the case with prolonged contact between water and the plant.
