Home garden secrets. Part 2

In the previous "series" of information about the home garden, we have already prepared a site for planting various crops. Now let's decide what we could grow at such sites at home. Let's say right away that you can grow anything in your home garden, even carrots and potatoes, and we will encourage you to do such "exotic" experiments in the next "series". However, let's start with the simplest unassuming growing of fresh herbs in our mini-backyard. Here are the herbs and plants you could grow on your own in the winter and supply, vitaminize, embellish your dinner dishes with them

Green onion

Well, what about in winter without this valuable plant, in which vitamin C is present in huge quantities, and besides, its essential oils strive to protect us from influenza and other viral diseases? The best part is that green onions are unpretentious in their care, grows quickly, and do not require increased attention.

Use onion sets as seed material, for example. You can also plant a turnip on a separate bed. From the seed you will get, perhaps, a smaller yield, but the onion feather will be softer. With onions, the yield of green feather leaves will be higher and longer.

Add a hydrogel to the soil - it needs to be soaked in a gumi solution - for better distillation, nutrition, strengthening of the bulbs (gumi solution is a natural humus extract from a highly fertile layer with macro and microelements, a number of minerals). This biological product helps to retain moisture in the soil in dry, battery-heated air in the apartment.

If you want to have a constantly green onion on your table during the winter, you need to plant its next new batch in the ground every two weeks. The bulbs are planted in slightly compacted soil fertilized with hydrogel. Do not bury the bulbs too much in the ground, plant them tightly to each other, water well. As mentioned above, green onions do not require a special approach to them - cutting off excess leaves, excessive soaking and other processing.

Chives

This green onion crop will take a little tinkering. Back in the fall, in order to plant and grow such an onion in an apartment, you need to prepare its planting material. Dig "curtains" of chives from your plot, cut off their feathers and transplant them into pots with soil where this onion grew. Until you need it - store the pots in the basement, you can on the balcony until the cold weather.

And in cold weather, when the autumn season in the country is over, bring the pots with onions into the apartment, put them on the windowsill so that the chives bulbs wake up from the sunlight. The feathers of such onions grow quickly. They taste incredibly delicate. Yes, and in the spring, it is the chives planted in the country that are the first to please us with green juicy greens.

Chives, no matter how much you feed them, will only yield twice from one planting material. Therefore, take care of the number of plantings in advance if you want to get a harvest from such an onion all winter.

It is also recommended to plant chives in a soil fertilized with a hydrogel. Since when the soil is overdried, lack of moisture, the feather of this onion becomes bitter and rough.

Parsley

Another green culture loved by many gardeners. You can grow parsley at home from two types of seed - from its roots and seeds. Planting by roots is more acceptable. Therefore, if you have not prepared parsley roots in the fall for planting them at home, or were too lazy to do it, then such seed can be bought in a grocery store or in the departments of goods for gardeners and gardeners.

To plant parsley with roots, you will need healthy roots, not wilted, with a well-preserved apical bud, from which, after the roots, they will give excellent greens.

You need to plant the roots in moistened prepared soil in a home container or pot so that their tops are completely covered with it. If the roots of the parsley are too long, they can be cut to the desired length by dipping the cut end into ground charcoal so that it does not rot. Or plant the roots in an inclined form in a container. For planting roots that are too long, this will be even the best solution.

When planting parsley seeds, keep in mind that they need a lot of light for better germination. You can accelerate seed germination using the same gumi solution. Water parsley roots and seeds as required and soil conditions. We remind you that in order for any vegetable and other cultivated plants to lack moisture, a hydrogel must be added to the soil with them. Then you will not have any problems at all with watering and soil moisture.
