Sorrel, rhubarb and lovage are fed with nitrogen fertilizers in the spring. To prepare such fertilizers, three tablespoons of urea are diluted in ten liters of water. By the way, instead of urea, it is quite permissible to use either an infusion of bird droppings (1:20) or an infusion of manure (1:10). And to get the first greens for the May holidays, you can stretch the film.
It is equally important to feed the soil - a well-fertilized soil will guarantee a rich harvest at the end of the summer season. Phosphorus, potash and nitrogen-containing fertilizers are considered especially valuable for the soil.
Pest control
It is no secret that a huge number of a wide variety of pests are activated in the spring. Most of them attack berry bushes and fruit trees, so with the onset of spring it is necessary to examine them very carefully. Dry, bonded leaves can be nests of hawthorn or goldtail, so they must be removed and burned immediately.
Weevils are also capable of reducing all the efforts of summer residents to naught, so it is also necessary to fight with them. It is recommended to destroy these parasites on cold days - at such moments they freeze. And the procedure itself for getting rid of weevils is quite simple - a film is placed under the trees with shrubs, and after that the branches are shaken well. All fallen pests are immediately burned.
As for copperheads, it is best to deal with them with the help of an infusion of garlic with tobacco, and infusions of wood ash and mustard will become a reliable remedy against leaf rollers and moths.
