In the classic naval pasta recipe, meat is necessarily used. But why not try something new in the summer? And try to replace pork or beef with vegetables - and it will also turn out very tasty! Moreover, such a dish will take root in the diet of those who observe the fast

Vegetarian "naval pasta"

For dressing in pasta for one serving, we need the following ingredients: a small onion and carrot, sweet bell pepper and tomato, as well as a clove of garlic. Tomato can be replaced with tomato sauce or pasta.

While the water for cooking pasta is warming up, chop the onion and three carrots on a coarse grater. Pour vegetable oil into a preheated frying pan and first fry the onions until the pieces begin to become transparent. Now you can add grated carrots here.

In the meantime, you need to peel the pepper from the middle with seeds and also grate the vegetable. When the carrots are poached in a frying pan, send the pepper there. And do not forget that you need to cook pasta in salted water. For this recipe, it is very important that they are not overcooked, but remain elastic, as the culinary experts say - al dente.

Now it remains to grate the tomato. To make it more convenient to do, it is better to cut it in half beforehand. Pour only tomato pulp into a frying pan with vegetables, and the skins are sent to the compost heap with plant residues.

Then all this vegetable mass in a pan should be pepper and salt to taste. Another trick that allows you to make the dish more flavorful and appetizing is to use fresh ground pepper. If the kitchen does not have a special hand mill, it is easy to crush the peppercorns with a rolling pin.

If thick tomato paste was used, then add a little water. When you take tomato sauce, season it carefully, because this product already contains salt and other spices.

The last ingredient is finely chopped garlic. It is added to the vegetable mass a few minutes before the dressing is ready. Thanks to this, the seasoning will not be too hot, but it will acquire a subtle appetizing aroma.

When the pasta is cooked, they are thrown into a colander so that the water is glass. Then spread on a plate, and pour over the reconciliation with vegetable dressing. If the dish has cooled down, then the flour products are sent directly to the pan to the vegetables and reheated together.

Or is it with meat?

The beauty of this recipe is that if you add meat or poultry to this vegetable dressing, it will not spoil at all. When using meat, it is better to take this set: a whole piece of pork and beef. You can, of course, take minced meat to fry it in a pan. But there is a secret, thanks to which the meat will be more tasty and juicy. It consists in pre-boiling the meat, and only then passing it through a meat grinder.

Pork and beef are dipped in boiling salted water and cooked until tender. And then they are crushed. Well, the resulting broth can be used to cook pasta in it. Then the minced meat is combined with the vegetable dressing and spread on a plate of pasta.

How to use chicken fillet in a recipe

Instead of beef or pork, chicken fillet is also suitable for naval pasta. But it is better not to pass poultry meat through a meat grinder. It tastes better if you chop it with a knife on a wooden board. A grater will also work. And to grate a piece of fillet, they take it frozen. After that, the resulting minced meat is fried in a pan, salted and pepper. Then they put it aside and start preparing the vegetable dressing. The chicken is added to this mixture before seasoning it with garlic.
