Originally from China, the primrose is firmly established in our gardens and indoor greenhouses. This flower is also known as primrose - this is why it owes its peculiarity to blooming one of the first among other garden plants after a cold winter. Indoors, the pots are covered with buds and flowers both in winter and in the autumn-summer period
Many reasons to get a primrose
In the period from June to July, they are engaged in seed reproduction of soft-leaved primrose. It is especially appreciated in indoor floriculture for its high decorative qualities. The rosettes of the herbaceous plant consist of low stems 15-20 cm long, which are covered with several pairs of whorls of flowers. The petals are of the widest range of colors: from pale pink to deep purple, from pale lilac to dark purple, snow-white and sunny yellow with a contrasting spot in the heart of the pharynx.
Primrose leaves are no less decorative: oval, heart-shaped, with a wavy edge. In addition to its attractive appearance, the plant has another important advantage: its flowers exude a pleasant delicate aroma.
Propagation of primrose seeds
To propagate primrose seeds, you need boxes or medium-sized deep bowls with a nutritious substrate from a mixture of sandy-deciduous soil. Watering is carried out by spraying from a spray bottle. The containers are covered with glass on top. Make sure that the seedlings are not in direct sunlight.
A month after sowing, seedlings that look thickly out of the ground are dived into large containers in such a way as to provide a feeding area of about 3 x 4 cm. To prepare the substrate, take:
• deciduous land - 2 parts;
• greenhouse land - 2 hours;
• sand - 1 tsp.
A month later, the plants are transplanted again, already according to the 8x8 cm scheme. It is useful to feed the growing flowers with an aqueous solution of bird droppings.
In October, under favorable conditions, mature primroses can be planted in separate 11-centimeter pots. The soil for this is prepared from:
• deciduous land - 2 hours;
• coniferous land - 1 hour;
• turf land - 1 hour;
• sand - 1 tsp.
The coniferous soil from the pine forest will provide a slightly acidic environment for the plant. The first flowering can be expected six months after sowing the seeds. During this period, it is recommended to maintain the temperature at about + 12 ° C. The room should be sufficiently bright and well ventilated.
Other breeding methods
Own seeds for propagation are easy to obtain after artificial pollination of primrose by a florist. However, a strong adult plant can be propagated by vegetative methods.
One of the simplest techniques is to divide the bush. To do this, after the end of the flowering period - in April-May - the plants continue to be watered so that the soil in the pot does not dry out. When the process of regrowth of the stems begins, the rosettes are divided into 2-3 parts and planted in a fairly loose and nutritious soil.
New landings are placed next to the window so that the containers are well lit. In a month or two, they will be ready to get their own individual pots. In order for the rooting process to occur better and faster, once every 10 days the plants are fed with mineral fertilizers. Old leaves are regularly removed by pruning.
If the flower does not have a strong enough root system to divide the bush, you can propagate the primrose by rooting the axillary shoots. For this, the leaf petiole is separated together with the bud and placed obliquely in wet sand, having previously cut the leaf plate in half. It is regularly moistened and sprayed. It will take about three months for new shoots to take root and develop from the bud.

Eggplant: Preparing And Sowing Seeds For Seedlings
The main difficulty in growing eggplants is that they are very heat demanding and at the same time have a long development period. Therefore, in the conditions of the middle lane, vegetables are propagated through seedlings, taking into account the fact that at the time of moving to open ground, it should be about 60 days old, and about a month will pass from the day the ovary appears to technical maturity. Therefore, it is impossible to delay sowing seeds. What should not be forgotten in the course of such work?
