After all, it's great to escape from the dusty city to a quiet suburban village for the weekend, hide from the whole world behind a cute fence, pick up mint in the garden and make a mojito from it, and then lie around with a glass of cool drink on a sun lounger. A little later, having thrown off all the hardships of the working week, it is not a sin to weed the garden from the weeds that have occupied it over the past 5 days of your absence. In a word, do the popular so-called agrofitness.

However, the available physical activity in the country is not limited to garden work. And speaking of the types of fitness available during your stay in the country, you can conditionally divide them into two large groups. The first group includes the already mentioned agrofitness, i.e. all that physical activity that is associated with working near the ground: carrying boxes with seedlings, watering cans with water for watering seedlings, buckets of fertilizer, bending and squatting while weeding the garden from weeds, etc. The advantage of this kind of training is that you burn calories naturally, as if in between. You do not need to count the number of approaches to completing work items. You are just doing the planned gardening work. As a result, you get a double bonus: both the beds are in order, and you keep fit. By the way, energy consumption per one hour approach to agrofitness can be up to 1000 kcal.

To the second group of varieties of summer cottage fitness, we include physical activity that is not related to garden work:

1. Walking is available to people of all ages and sizes. You can walk along a country road, around a picturesque pond, or along forest paths. Every 30 minutes of such walks, about 200 kcal are burned.

2. Jogging - suitable for lovers of cardio exercises, the most effective, by the way, in losing weight. Maintain a safe jogging path in the vicinity and run to your health. For 30 minutes of continuous running, you lose up to 400 kcal. If you find it difficult to run continuously, alternate walking and running. It will do just as good.

3. Cycling is suitable for bike owners and fans of the breeze. Plan an interesting route in advance. After all, the speed of movement on a bicycle gives you the opportunity to move more impressive distances than on foot or jogging. But at the same time, cycling burns fat less intensively than the same running. However, you can increase the efficiency of your cycling by choosing a cross-country route that will push you more than riding on the plain. An alternative to a bike, depending on your preference, can be a skateboard or inline skates.

4. Swimming in the pool (if you are lucky enough to own one) or in the open water will also bring a lot of benefits for the figure and pleasure for the soul. In addition, bathing in the fresh air is an effective element of hardening the body and stimulates blood circulation. However, in open reservoirs, it is better to refrain from doing water aerobics, since the bottom can be littered with glass shards and other unsafe objects.

5. Team sports games are suitable for a large family or friendly neighbors in the country. Depending on your interests, you can jointly equip a common basketball or volleyball court, a football field, a tennis court, a small tennis table, etc.

6. Classes on the horizontal bar will be useful to all family members. It is good if there is such a sports unit at the summer cottage. If not, then there are a lot of ideas for equipping a horizontal bar in the country from scrap materials.

7. Gymnastics is pleasant and useful. Choose a shaded area on a lawn with soft grass. Get yourself a rug for these practices. You can bring some simple sports gadgets to the dacha: dumbbells, a ball, a skipping rope, instead of a bodybar, you can use a long handle from a shovel or a hoe, fitball will also be useful in the country. The latter is very useful to use instead of a chair. Your spine will be grateful to you! The back of the bench can serve as a support for push-ups. You can choose exercises for gymnastics in the country to your taste. It is very effective to alternate sports sets of cardioelements (jumping, running), dynamic (aerobics), static exercises (yoga elements), strength (dumbbells and other weights) and stretching (stretching).

8. For men, water rowing can be recommended as a summer cottage fitness. Take your ladies on a boat ride around the local reservoir. And they are pleased and useful training for you.

Whichever type of summer cottage fitness you choose, do not forget about safety. Always precede sports training with a warm-up, drink water every 15-20 minutes of class, avoid open areas in hot sunny weather and organize your diet. Fill your diet with vegetables and fruits available in the country. And then you will spend your time at the dacha with pleasure and benefit!
