Description of black cohosh hogweed
Black cohosh is a herbaceous perennial plant endowed with a herbaceous annual stem. The height of such a stem of this plant will reach one meter and may even exceed this value. The rhizome can be either one or several pieces. Black cohosh rhizome is simple and rounded, in the lower part it will be furrowed. The stems are bare from the very base down to the inflorescence. The lower stem leaves are on long petioles, at the base they will be widened, they are tripartite and glabrous. The inflorescence of this plant is racemose, simple, or for the most part will form two to eight short branches endowed with pedicels. Such pedicels are covered with gray-colored hairs. The flowers of black cohosh are bisexual, there are four to five petal sepals and they will fall off quite early. Petals-nectaries are painted in white tones, they are solid and spatulate upward, at the end such petals of this plant will end with an almost scarious solid or two-lobed appendage. The stamens of this plant are numerous, there are only a few ovaries and it is located on a stalk.
Blossoming black cohosh occurs in the month of August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the south-west of Primorye in the Far East.
Description of the medicinal properties of black cohosh
Black cohosh hogweed is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the herbs and roots of this plant. The presence of such valuable healing properties is explained by the content of alkaloids and saponins in the plant, while the herb contains saponins.
Black cohosh rhizomes are used as a diaphoretic, analgesic, antipyretic agent, and also used as an antidote. A decoction prepared on the basis of the herb of this plant is recommended for use in case of prolapse of the uterus, rash, gastritis, toothache and measles.
For all of the above diseases, it is recommended to prepare the following remedy based on black cohosh: for this you need to take five grams of the herb of this plant in one glass of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled for five to six minutes, then this mixture is left to infuse for one hour, after which this mixture must be very thoroughly filtered. Take the resulting product based on black cohosh, half a glass per day.
For fever, migraine, neuralgia and hypertension, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on this plant: for the preparation of such a remedy, one part of the roots and rhizomes of black cohosh should be taken. This mixture should be infused for five to seven days in five parts of seventy percent alcohol. The resulting healing agent is recommended to be taken in about twenty to thirty drops, mixing them with boiled water at room temperature. It is important to carefully follow all the rules for taking such a healing agent, as well as observe all the rules for its preparation: only in this case the desired positive result will be achieved when using this remedy.
