The decoration and insulation of both the washing room and the steam room must meet, first of all, the requirements of practicality. As for the rooms for rest, then the efficiency and the design of the interior decoration itself becomes important here.

Pine trim is very common: this option is also used for the washing room. This circumstance is explained by the fact that there will never be very high temperatures in these rooms. In addition, pine can be of various colors: from pale yellow to reddish. This material is of very high quality, it has increased strength, low weight and accessibility to processing. Due to the release of resin, pine is not applicable for steam rooms, but for the rest of the premises it is this property that makes this material resistant to decay and all kinds of damage. Pine can be painted, polished and varnished.

It is very often used as a finishing material and Scandinavian pine, which is painted in even pinkish tones. The very design of this material is very aesthetic, and over time, a noble patina will appear here, which will make your room even more attractive.

It is also permissible to use spruce with such a finish. However, do not forget about a number of disadvantages of spruce wood: there will be a lot of knots here, which will bring many problems. And according to its characteristics and properties, the spruce will lose to the pine. However, you can also purchase a lining made of spruce: it already has much higher strength and moisture resistance. The whole secret lies in the special treatment with "burning" air. In this case, knots and hints will be smaller and they can take on decorative functions. In addition, this material will contain slightly less resin than pine.

Often oak is also used to decorate the bath, because such wood is very strong. However, under constant hot steam, oak can become very plastic, but at the same time it is completely not subject to decay. Such properties are explained by the large amount of tannins.

Finishing stages

Observance of certain stages is also very important in the interior decoration of the bath. First of all, you should decide on the materials, and then put everything in the bath itself and leave these materials there for at least one day. This stage can be called material acclimatization. After that, the lathing for the lining is performed, then they proceed to fastening the steam and thermal insulation. The last step will be the installation of wood panels of the wood of your choice.

The panels are not capable of burning the skin, and in extreme heat they will release substances useful to humans directly into the air. Installation of panels can be carried out both vertically and horizontally, and diagonally. The panels should be fastened with nails: in this case, ordinary nails will not work, you will have to purchase copper or bronze, which are resistant to rust under conditions of constant humidity. The panels are attached to the groove of the previous one.

As for the floor, you can make it concrete, wood or even ceramic. At the same time, the use of synthetic materials is unacceptable: when heated, they will begin to emit toxic substances harmful to humans. Sometimes oak materials are also used, which will last a very long time. Oak is resistant to moisture, but its coating will be rather slippery. Underfloor heating can also be installed: lay the electric cable under the concrete screed. This option is available only for the dressing room and the rest room: such a warm floor is unacceptable for rooms with a high degree of air humidity.

Self-finishing of the interior of the bath is not a task of increased complexity, and provided a competent approach and strict adherence to all the advice, the result can be no worse than a bath, decorated with the help of professionals.
