On the stem of this flower, a contour is noticeable, which has a spiral growth. When there is a very strong heating of the soil, namely its temperature rises above twenty-two degrees Celsius, then alstroemeria begins to produce larger roots, which will occur due to the already flowering shoots. Sometimes this circumstance can lead to the appearance of undeveloped rods, on which there will not be a single flower.

It is worth noting that for a long time alstroemeria was considered a purely exotic flower and literally did not enjoy any popularity. However, recently this flower has been very interested in lovers of beautiful and original plants. Today, alstroemeria can often be seen in flower shops; such bouquets have become more and more often given, as well as used to decorate the design of various rooms.

Actually, one can note not only the similarity with the lily, but also the fact that alstroemeria is very similar to the orchid. As for the similarity to the orchid, these flowers have the same arrangement of petals in the bud. Although, of course, each of these stunningly beautiful flowers have their own characteristics. Alstroemeria, thanks to its twisted petals, looks very attractive, radiating charm, tenderness and, of course, originality.

Alstroemeria had to adapt to a very difficult climate, as well as to high humidity and high air temperatures, and in addition to this, also frequent droughts. It is for these reasons that such a fragile-looking flower can grow literally in any conditions, no matter how difficult they are. In South America, over the centuries, the local population did not cease to admire the beauty of this flower, composing numerous legends about it and endowing it with the most miraculous properties.

Actually, even the Indians made the first attempts to cross Alstroemeria with other plants, but this circumstance happened only in the eighteenth century thanks to the efforts of European professionals. Actually, a man named Alstromer brought these flowers, giving them his name. Today there is a great variety of different shades of this amazing flower, and such bizarre color combinations give the opportunity to create stunningly beautiful flower arrangements with the participation of alstroemeria.

It should be noted that the advantages of these flowers include the fact that when cut, they can stand for several weeks without losing their initially bright appearance.
