It is because of mistakes during watering that plants can die, despite the correctness of all other care measures. Automated irrigation systems can solve such an important problem

Modern irrigation systems are an excellent substitute for manual labor. Some time ago, such systems were considered a luxury, but today the presence of such an irrigation system is no longer considered something out of the ordinary and inaccessible. Even those who are engaged in the garden exclusively for themselves, over time, prefer just such methods of watering. It should be noted that modern devices are very diverse and can differ significantly from each other.

It should be noted that irrigation systems benefit greatly from the efficiency of irrigation. In addition, such a system saves water very much. If you water the plants by hand using either a watering can or a hose, then a large amount of water gets into the soil in one unit of time. However, even with this, such an amount will not be enough to properly saturate the soil. Actually, the result of such irrigation will be a significant consumption of not only natural resources, but also our own strength, as well as time. In addition, such manual watering can lead to a dense crust on the soil surface. Such a crust will impede the access of oxygen to the very roots of the plant, which will make it difficult for them to breathe. That is why it will also require constant loosening of the soil, which will entail the restoration of such soil gas exchange.

As for irrigation systems, they serve as a guarantor of a soft and gentle irrigation regime. It is in this way that moisture can be directed to the place where this moisture is needed. So it is possible and profitable to dose water consumption, based on the needs of each individual plant.

Among other things, such a system can water plants on its own, without human intervention. Also, such systems help in providing the only necessary microclimate for individual plant specimens, which have special and very picky care requirements.

The principle of operation of such irrigation systems

Generally speaking, the operation of such systems can be represented exactly as follows. Water is channeled from a water supply source through a main pipe. Water meets a distribution manifold or a distribution manifold. This device is supplemented with a number of nozzles, a locking mechanism is installed on each of them. This role can be played by a mechanical valve or a solenoid valve. After that, the water begins to move along a branched system of pipes that are laid underground. As a result, water finally reaches the plants. At the end of such a pipe or along it, terminal devices are placed, which are called sprinklers or droppers. Actually, it is through these devices that the watering itself takes place.

Actually, such control of irrigation systems can be both automatic and mechanical. In addition, the semi-automatic option also stands out. In the event that simple mechanical devices serve as the locking structure, then they should be opened and closed manually. However, even under such conditions, these irrigation systems will continuously provide plants with the necessary and high-quality irrigation.

As for the automated control process of the irrigation system, it can function without human intervention at all. The frequency of watering in this case will be determined by the block of programmable devices: these include timers and controllers. A command is received from the remote control and then the solenoid valves will begin to open and close the access of water. In addition, the program also determines the duration of watering and its frequency. Any branch of the system, which is responsible for a certain area, on the controller, you can designate an individual irrigation mode.
