High-efficiency greenhouse fuel can be obtained at virtually no cost. Valuable energy resources literally lie underfoot in the form of garbage. However, if you know about their inner strength and how you can apply it in your garden, at first glance, unsightly waste turns into a real treasure! So, what is good for the anti-crisis bio-heating of a greenhouse?
Free heating of the greenhouse
Have you ever watched the city dumps smoke in the summer? Sometimes such phenomena become real emergency situations, paralyzing some spheres of life in megacities. Why is this happening? Let's remember school chemistry lessons: organic waste and various industrial waste in the process of the vital activity of bacteria lead to the decomposition of materials, while producing heat. So why not use this property in your backyard!
Having prepared such biofuel, and having on hand a few boards, a couple of logs and broken glass, you can build a first-class in-depth biofuel greenhouse. In such anti-crisis conditions, without heating costs, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes will ripen much earlier than usual, at least a month.
The components for the preparation of bio-heating are used in a variety of ways:
• manure (horse, cow, goat, sheep, pork);
• household waste (rags, paper, dry household waste);
• plant residues (foliage, sawdust bark, straw, corn and sunflower stalks, husk).
The decomposition rate, degree, and combustion temperature are different for all components. These indicators depend on many factors: the activity of bacteria, looseness and permeability of air, the content of trace elements (in particular, nitrogen). It should also be taken into account that dry and excessively moist raw materials do not burn well and decompose more slowly. Therefore, in order to achieve optimum moisture content, they are mixed.
Properties of biofuel components
To achieve the desired effect, you need to know which components are best combined and how to mix them correctly. Animal manure can differ significantly in its properties. Consider the most popular types and their characteristics:
• horse manure - the optimal loose base for heating a greenhouse. It is mixed with sawdust, straw bedding. Such a composition is able to flare up in 7-10 days at temperatures of + 60 … + 70 ° C, therefore it is beneficial to use it in the early stages of laying. Plus, it cools slowly. For a month, the temperature drops to + 30 ° С;
• cow dung - has a denser structure compared to horse manure, is more humid and warms up worse. To achieve the necessary friability, it is used in tandem with sawdust, sunflower dust or sifted husk, wood leaves and similar raw materials in a 1: 1 ratio. The combustion temperature does not exceed + 50 ° С and decreases rapidly;
• pork manure - similar in properties to cow manure - it is highly moist, gives off a little heat. It is also used in conjunction with loosening agents.
Separately, we can distinguish the category of house waste from city dumps, which cause so much inconvenience to residents. In the right hands, this waste can reach the burning temperature of horse dung, in addition to retaining heat for longer.
How to store raw materials until they are laid in a greenhouse?
If you hurry up and start putting manure in the greenhouse in advance, as raw materials accumulate, you can achieve the opposite effect and turn the greenhouse into a real glacier. Without the necessary shelter in winter, it will freeze, and the soil poured on top in the spring will be even colder than the beds in the open field.
It is advisable to stack manure near the place where it is planned to arrange a greenhouse. The raw materials are piled up and the necessary measures are taken so that it does not heat up ahead of time. To do this, it is compacted. And so that in the winter months the pile does not freeze, it is covered from above with earth or leaves.
Sunflower husk, dust is stored indoors. Leaves are stacked outdoors. So that the wind does not carry them around the site, you can cover them with foil and press them down with boards.

We Grow Asters In Greenhouses And Garden Beds
Many gardeners and gardeners are familiar with such "greed" in a good sense of the word, when they want to sow many vegetables on seedlings, and at the same time, apart from the daily food, do not forget about the high and beautiful - about flower beds. But how often you have to sacrifice something in order to make way for an extra glass with a flower or a pot with a growing eggplant on the windowsills. In order not to get into such a situation, grow seedlings of your favorite flowers not at home, but on the street - in a greenhouse or in the ground under cover
