Remembering undeservedly forgotten fertilizers

In order to nourish the garden and horticultural crops growing on the site with elements vital for their full growth and development, it is not at all necessary to go to the store for fertilizers, because almost every summer resident has at hand a whole arsenal of excellent and, most importantly, effective and completely free funds! But many of us, unfortunately, often forget about them. What are these means, and what benefits can they bring?

Potato broth

Anyone who believes that potato broth can only be used in relation to domestic plants is deeply mistaken - this assistant will serve well in the garden! And for this it is enough just to take the water in which the potatoes were boiled! First, the broth is cooled so as not to burn itself or the soil, and then it is poured onto the soil surface at the rate of five to six hundred milliliters per square meter. Potato starch that passes into the water during the potato boiling process is an excellent source of energy for plants - it will not only contribute to their full development, but also significantly strengthen their immunity!

The only thing you should not forget is that you should not water nightshade (that is, potato-related) crops with potato broth - if you ignore this recommendation, you can attract Colorado beetles to the beds.

Water from under various cereals

Everyone boils porridges and soups, respectively, after rinsing the cereals, water remains, in which this procedure was performed. So, you shouldn't pour out this water - it will become an excellent top dressing for a wide variety of vegetable crops! It is enough just to pour such water under the bushes from time to time, and, believe me, the harvest will become richer and better!

Coffee grounds

With its help, noticeably tired and rough soil can be made much looser and lighter - for this purpose, dormant natural coffee is added to the soil at the rate of one hundred grams per square meter.

Aquarium water

And happy owners of aquariums can safely use aquarium water. If the aquarium is small, with a volume of only forty to fifty liters, then, of course, there will be little sense from it, but if you have a large aquarium, you can bring great benefits to the plants! Approximately once a month, approximately 45-50 percent of the total volume of aquarium water is recommended to be replaced with a new one, and it makes sense to immediately take the drained water to the site and water the growing crops with it - the aquarium water is very rich in useful microorganisms that can not only significantly accelerate the growth of plants, but also noticeably improve the structure of the soil!

Bone flour

This flour is obtained by grinding the bones of animals or birds. The impressive amounts of calcium in the composition make bone meal a real find for use in acidic soils. And it also contains phosphorus with nitrogen, that is, this is the most safe complex mineral fertilizer!

Sawdust

This is, of course, not quite a fertilizer, but it is also very loyal and necessary helpers! Wood sawdust is endowed with the ability to perfectly retain heat in the soil (for this they are laid out under the plants before the onset of winter, and the sawdust is removed only with the onset of spring - by the way, in this case, the soil warms up faster in spring!), And also excellently inhibit the growth of weeds. In addition, they perfectly retain irrigation water in the soil, and the sawdust looks very good and aesthetically pleasing. Ideally, this material is recommended to be used in a semi-rotten form. However, sawdust and some drawbacks are not without - if you use them too often and excessively, then they can acidify the soil quite strongly, so when using such a material it is imperative to monitor the acidity of the soil.

Have you tried using any of the above fertilizers and materials?
