Summer is in full swing and the plants in the beds are growing by leaps and bounds. But what to do when they refuse to grow and develop? Then the plants can be helped - for this they need to be fed. And in order not to spend extra money on fertilizers, use what could go to the trash, but will go to work! So, how to feed the plants so that the harvest does not disappoint?

Magic Banana Triple Formula

Bananas are not only a healthy treat, but also a wonderful raw material for preparing top dressing. Rather, the banana itself can be eaten, but the peel is sent to a glass jar instead of a trash can.

Remember this magic banana formula: take three banana skins, place them in a three-liter jar, fill with water and leave to infuse for three days. Water the plants with undiluted infusion.

Egg shells for flowers, soil and pests

Many gardeners and gardeners collect eggshells to embed them in the soil. But before you start digging up the soil with eggshells, it must be crushed as small as possible. The ideal option is to grind it in a meat grinder. And only after that, use it as fertilizer.

But do not rush to grind the whole shell into dust. Especially if your beds are often attacked by slugs. If you grind the shell with a rolling pin to make fairly large pieces with fairly sharp edges, it is used as mulch around those beds that need to be protected from slug infestation. Such an obstacle becomes almost impenetrable for their delicate abdomens.

But even if you do not have a personal plot, and the maximum that connects you to agriculture is indoor floriculture, still do not rush to throw away the eggshells. A three-day infusion of shells in water is an excellent food for home plants. In addition, as a top dressing I also use water in which eggs were boiled.

Sometimes only the yolk is used in some recipes or beauty treatments. And the egg white remains unused. Of course, it can be fried right away or eaten in some other way. Or even freeze. But there is another option - to dilute with water and take it outside to infuse for several days. It is better not to carry out such an experiment indoors, because the smell from this fertilizer comes out rather sharp and not the most pleasant. But when watering plants with such feeding, they respond very well to fertilization.

The power of trace elements onion peel

Onion skins are often collected for Easter to make natural dye for coloring eggs. And after the holiday, onion peels go straight to the trash can. Again, this is an unforgivable waste. After all, onion peel infusion is one of the best fertilizers for watering seedlings.

To prepare top dressing, pour a handful of onion husks with one liter of water. Insist for a day. And then water the plants with undiluted infusion. This is an excellent top dressing for both seedlings and indoor flowers.

Potato peels won't go to waste either

When you cook soup, you are probably using potatoes, and you still have peelings. If you have black currants or gooseberries growing on your site, then you can't imagine better feeding. For fertilization, cleaning is poured into the soil around the bushes to a depth of approximately 10 cm.

If you soak the cleaners in water and let them brew to a state of "puree", this slurry is introduced into the hole when planting cabbage, onions, watermelon, melon, pumpkin. But the planting of seedlings should not be carried out directly into the potato "porridge", but by sprinkling it with a layer of earth.

Potato peelings are also great traps for catching various parasites. Spread them out on the site, and some of the slugs, beetles and other pests, instead of spoiling the vegetables in the garden, will sit in potato peelings. Your task is only to collect them after a few days.
