Dewdrop English is a perennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between seven and twenty-five centimeters. Such a plant is endowed with obliquely upward long-petiolate and lanceolate leaves, the height of which will be about five to ten centimeters, and the width will reach four millimeters. The English sundew fruit is a box, the seeds of which will be colored in light brown tones.

The flowering of this plant begins in the middle of the summer season. English sundew prefers wet sandy outcrops and sphagnum swamps for growth. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of Central Asia, almost all regions of Russia, the Caucasus, Belarus and Ukraine, with the exception of only the southern regions. It is noteworthy that the English sundew is a poisonous plant, for this reason it is recommended to observe strict caution when handling this plant. In addition, such a plant needs protection.

Description of the medicinal properties of English sundew

The English sundew is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while for therapeutic purposes it is recommended to use the entire aerial part of this plant together with a rosette of basal leaves. An infusion or tincture prepared on the basis of the English sundew herb is indicated for use in small doses for neuroses, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, headache, diarrhea, dysentery, laryngitis and hemoptysis.

As for traditional medicine, here this plant is very widespread. Traditional medicine recommends the use of English sundew juice, which is endowed with the ability to dissolve organic substances and for this reason is very successfully used to remove warts.

In the form of tea, this plant in combination with Ivan da Marya grass, tricolor violet grass, marshmallow root, plantain and other medicinal plants is recommended for whooping cough.

With whooping cough and cough, they drink alcohol tincture based on this plant: such a drug should be prepared in the same way as alcohol tincture of round-leaved sundew. Such a very effective healing agent should be applied three times a day, fifteen drops with water.

Actually, an infusion based on English sundew herb will be prepared in the same dosage as an infusion based on round-leaved sundew.
