Description of seaside plantain

The seaside plantain is a perennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between ten and sixty centimeters. The root of such a plant is taproot. The leaves of the seaside plantain can be from elliptical to linear-lanceolate, such leaves will be sharp, slightly toothed with a crown of five veins, or whole-edged, densely hairy or bare. The peduncles of the seaside plantain are most often pubescent, they are longitudinal, the height, together with a short ovoid or cylindrical spike, will be about sixty centimeters, while the two front sepals grow together into two-lobed scales. The fruits of this plant are a box, which in turn will be endowed with two seeds.

The flowering of the seaside plantain occurs in the summer period. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Central Asia, the European part of Russia, the European Arctic, the Irtysh and Verkhne-Tobolsk regions of Western Siberia, the Daursky and Angara-Sayan regions of Eastern Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers dry slopes, light forests, glades, meadows, places along the roads, pebbles, seaside lawns, alkaline meadows and salt marshes.

Description of the medicinal properties of the seaside plantain

The seaside plantain is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the leaves and the entire aerial part of this plant for medicinal purposes.

The presence of such valuable medicinal properties is recommended to be explained by the content of cholesterol, stachyosis, steroids, iridoid aucubin and higher fatty acid in this plant. In the seeds of the seaside plantain, in turn, the iridoid aucubin and ribose will be present.

The seaside plantain is used in the treatment of urolithiasis. In the form of an infusion and decoction, the aerial part of the seaside plantain in Tibetan medicine is recommended to be used for pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia and various gastrointestinal diseases. It is noteworthy that the leaves of this plant can be used for making salads.

In case of urolithiasis, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take three tablespoons of seaside plantain leaves for half a liter of boiling water. The resulting healing mixture should be infused for about two hours, after which this mixture must be very thoroughly filtered. Take the resulting drug based on the seaside plantain three times a day, half a glass or one third of it.

For pulmonary tuberculosis, peptic ulcer, gastritis and pneumonia, the following healing agent is used: to prepare it, you will need to take fifteen grams of the crushed aerial part of the seaside plantain in a glass of boiling water. Such a mixture is insisted for two hours, after which it is recommended to strain the resulting healing agent based on the seaside plantain very carefully. Such a very effective healing agent based on this plant is taken three times a day, one third of a glass: it is noteworthy that, if used correctly, the positive effect will be noticeable rather quickly.
