A glass of crescent milkweed is bell-shaped, its width is one to one and a half millimeters, it will be naked on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. The nectars of this plant will be hornless and lunar. The crescent milkweed's three-rootlets will be conical-ovate, naked and slightly three-grooved, and its length will be equal to two to five millimeters. The flowering of the crescent milkweed falls on the period from June to September. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the European part of Russia, the Caucasus, Ukraine, Crimea, Central Asia and in Primorye in the Far East. For growth, this plant prefers outcrops of variegated rocks, limestones, stony and gravelly slopes from the foothills to the mid-mountain belt, and the plant can also be seen as a weed among cotton and wheat crops.

Euphorbia crescent is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the herb of this plant. Grass includes flowers, stems and leaves.
The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content in the composition of this plant of higher aliphatic ketones, triterpenoids, diterpenoid obdusifoldienol, higher aliphatic hydrocarbons, catechins, rubber, ellagic acid, vitamin C, resins, higher aliphatic alcohol tetracosanol, as well as hyperin and flavonoids. The seeds of this plant contain a fatty oil, which contains the following acids: palmitic, linolenic, margaric, linoleic, oleic and stearic.
Euphorbia sickle is endowed with a very effective emetic, laxative, analgesic, diuretic and keratic effect. In addition, such a plant has become quite widespread for various heart diseases. Aqueous and aqueous-alcoholic extracts based on crescent milkweed are endowed, in turn, with choleretic and laxative effects. It is noteworthy that the resins of this plant will also be endowed with an epithelizing effect.
The following remedy is used as a diuretic and pain reliever: one teaspoon of dry crushed herb of this plant for two cups of boiling water. This mixture is insisted for two hours, and then carefully filtered. Take such a remedy based on sickle milkweed three times a day, one tablespoon.
