Before the import of a foreign drink into Russia, all segments of the population, from the poor to the emperors, consumed domestic Koporye tea. It was made from the leaves of narrow-leaved fireweed, popularly nicknamed Ivan-tea. The drink was highly valued among the population, was exported abroad in tons.

The product was named after the small village of Koporye, located not far from St. Petersburg. A plant was built there, where the manufacturing technology was strictly regulated. The secrets of production were strictly kept by the craftsmen and passed on from generation to generation by inheritance.

An interesting fact is described in the story. Great Britain, selling to other countries Indian tea of its own production, itself did not use it, buying Koporye tea in Russia.

The popularity of the Russian drink was so great that it surpassed the sale of an Asian product. In order to destroy competitors, the East India Company, with its power, achieved a ban on the import of Koporye tea, first to England, then to other European countries.

The First World War, the October Revolution, the economic European blockade of Russia finally destroyed the legacy of Russia. The plant was ruined, production was stopped.

And only in recent years have they remembered about this valuable product. Small peasant farms have organized the processing of fireweed in small volumes.

Great value of Koporye tea

Unlike the Indian product, Koporye tea has the following set of beneficial properties:

• high content of vitamin C, several times more than in lemon;

• polysaccharides, tannins, B group vitamins;

• a significant amount of microelements useful for the body (potassium, iron, calcium, copper, magnesium, sodium and others);

• health-improving properties (relieves fatigue, tones, invigorates, gives strength);

• absence of substances harmful to the body (oxalic acid, caffeine, purine bases);

• increases hemoglobin, improving blood composition;

• has a bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effect;

• normalizes blood pressure;

• relieves the symptoms of insomnia, headaches;

• calms the nervous system;

• heals external and internal wounds (stomach ulcers);

• cleanses the body of toxins, slagging;

• normalizes the endocrine system;

• increases the amount of breast milk;

• in case of oncological diseases, it reduces intoxication;

• removes the effects of food poisoning.

There are cases when people who received a large dose of radiation were on the mend, using a well-known drink every day.

You can endlessly list the beneficial properties of Koporye tea. They drink it hot and chilled. The latter method quenches the feeling of thirst on hot days. The main thing is that it is a natural product without additives or preservatives, of high quality.

An interesting property of the brewed drink. It can stand on the table for 2 days, while it does not deteriorate, retains its medicinal properties, which is due to its bactericidal composition.

No side effects were found when using fireweed. It should be taken in courses of no more than 1 month, taking breaks so as not to disrupt the work of the gastrointestinal tract. Be careful with increased blood clotting. Do not use at the same time with antipyretic and anti-anxiety tablets.
