Hybrid tea bush roses

This group of plants is most common in garden plots, as it has the longest flowering. In July, they have a short rest period, and after that the bushes bloom with renewed vigor. These roses are frost-resistant, so they need to be covered for the winter. Spring planting of roses has its own characteristics - the grafting site should be 3 cm below the earth's horizon.

You can trim from spring to autumn. The main cut is done in the spring as it forms the shape of the bush. This operation is performed at the time of the opening of the bush after wintering. The leading shoots are shortened to 10 cm, leaving three strong buds available.

Curly roses

This species has long shoots that grow up to 4 meters. Flowering is quite long: from June to October. As for the buds, they are smaller than those of hybrid tea.

The bushes are planted near the support at an angle of 30 degrees. They are often grown under the window of a country house on trellises, but it should be remembered that water flowing from the roof can damage the roots, so the distance should be sufficient, not closer than 0.5 m. If roses are planted near the wall itself, then they can get sick from lack water.

A characteristic feature of this species is planting, during which a significant deepening of the grafting occurs - 12 cm below ground level. This method makes it possible to develop vaccinations much faster.

Pruning is carried out 2 times: in spring and autumn. The spring operation is gentle, aimed at shortening the tops of young shoots. Many try to completely cut off the new growth so that the bush does not run wild, but this is a deep misconception. The growth of young shoots rejuvenates the plant.

The main pruning takes place in the fall after flowering. During this period, the old five-year-old branches are completely removed to allow the young to develop. To make the buds wake up faster, the shoots are laid obliquely and even horizontally, then they are spud up to 30 cm high.

Floribunda roses

This type of rose is distinguished by abundant, continuous flowering from the beginning of summer heat until mid-autumn. They are very decorative, have various shades of buds, and are resistant to various diseases. These roses tolerate bad weather well, therefore they are most widespread in summer cottages in the middle lane.

They are good in flower arrangements with perennials, look advantageous in separately formed groups. The inflorescences are also suitable for cutting. The principles of pruning do not differ from the rules that are outlined above.

Park roses

These hybrid varieties were obtained using wild roses and rose hips. Therefore, they are very winter-hardy and practically not susceptible to diseases. These roses hibernate well without shelter. Easily reproduce in all ways: by layering, dividing the bush and cuttings. They are unpretentious, like to grow in sunny areas, although they feel good in partial shade.

Park roses are not pruned, as the buds are formed on old branches and bloom very abundantly all summer. The bush itself is quite large, with densely abundant foliage, which is also its advantage. Due to the bulkiness of the bushes, they can be planted singly, in groups or create a hedge. Placed near a gazebo, garden bench, often used to divide the site into zones.

Miniature roses

Bushes of this species do not exceed a height of 60 cm. They look very elegant because of the miniature glossy leaves and the abundance of small flowers. These roses exude a pleasant delicate scent and bloom until the frost. Another advantage is frost resistance and disease resistance.

Such rose bushes are often used for edging flower beds, creating low elegant borders. It is best to plant them in sunny, windless places, in well-fertilized soil. Pruning does not differ from the standard for hybrid tea species. Before wintering, the bushes are sprinkled with peat or humus, so they winter better.
