Among the decorative dumps of an organic nature, it is worth highlighting the bark of a pine tree, cedar husk and wood chips (sometimes painted). The strong bark of the pine tree is renowned for its durability and absence of decay for several years. This natural organic material does not fade and looks great in any beautiful compositions in the garden. Cedar husk, like wood chips, can be dyed in almost any color. Therefore, they can be used to create spectacular and original details in the landscape.

Wood chips are stained exclusively with natural and safe dyes. Bright materials must be used very carefully in the design of the garden, because they must be combined with the color of the mulch and the general background on the territory. In landscape compositions, excessively bright colors are never used. However, pastel and other calm, natural tones will help decorate paths or install a special colored coating on children's play areas. A common disadvantage of organic decorative screeds is too light weight. For this reason, the material is often carried away by gusts of wind. Such dumps are inexpensive, but most of them are short-lived.

When laying decorative dumps of an organic nature on flower beds and near-stem circles of garden trees, it must be remembered that the mulch layer rotting at the bottom contributes to a change in the structure of the soil. They often simply oxidize the soil. But this fact can also be a positive side, because, for example, rhododendrons feel great on acidic soils. Also, when laying decorative filling on the soil, it is necessary to add the required amount of material every year. Firstly, it will allow you not to lose a beautiful look. Secondly, this manipulation will ensure rotting of the mulch layer.

Inorganic group of decorative fillings

The group of inorganic decorative fillings includes various gravel elements, for example, pebbles (from river and sea banks), crushed stone and sand. Artificially created items include painted plastic and glass elements. Natural miniature pebbles that can have different structures and structures are represented as gravel. The stones can also be sharp-angled or smooth. Gravel filling is often used during the design of secondary paths and paths to the garden area, a special entrance or patio.

Crushed stone is called crushed stone chips. As a rule, it is characterized by an acute-angled and uneven texture. Absolutely any stones are suitable for crushing. Therefore, the color of crushed stone can differ significantly. Small and smooth pebbles are also of natural origin. Its pebbles are round. Sea pebbles are in perfect harmony with multi-colored stones. Sand is a fine-grained decorative filling. There are quartz, sea, marble sands. All of them have excellent decorative properties and are able to decorate and diversify the interior of the garden.

The general advantages of the inorganic group of decorative fillings are a long service life, no burnout and no deformation. For stone dumps, very minimal care is needed. Gravel filling completely protects the soil from overheating and is characterized by water permeability. Of the minuses, one can single out the difficulties with garbage collection from such territories. For this reason, elements with similar dumps are installed away from fruit trees.
