However, all lovers of raspberries are united by one thing - the desire to grow only the best varieties on their personal plot. What varieties of raspberries are considered the most popular, and which of them are best suited to our climatic conditions?

This wonderful sweet variety will delight you with small neat berries and a very good yield - you can easily collect at least four and a half kilograms of juicy berries from each bush. The average weight of each berry is about four grams, and the bushes themselves grow up to one and a half meters in height. The Vera variety is very hygrophilous, so the bushes will often have to be watered. It will also delight you with enviable resistance to both extreme cold and heat.

Aboriginal

One of the best early raspberries, once bred by Russian breeders and ideal for moderate growing. The Aboriginal variety does not very well endure the cold, but at the same time it boasts the ability to recover on its own through the formation of new shoots. This usually happens after about a year.

The fruits of the Aboriginal raspberry are relatively small, and their weight rarely exceeds 5 grams. True, sometimes you come across larger berries weighing up to eight or nine grams. The berry bushes themselves are considered medium-sized - their height almost never exceeds one and a half meters. During the season, up to six kilograms of fragrant berries are harvested from each bush. And another undoubted advantage of this variety is that it is almost never affected by diseases or pests.

Canadian

Incredibly sweet raspberries, the main distinguishing feature of which is the complete absence of sourness. Despite the fact that the berries of this variety are very small (their weight is about nine grams), they boast a delicious taste.

Raspberry varieties Canadian - the plant is quite tall, often reaching a height of two meters. Perhaps it is thanks to this that for each season you can easily collect from seven to nine kilograms of wonderful ripe berries. This variety is very hygrophilous, but it still does not need any special care.

Alyonushka

One of the most productive varieties, without a doubt, is precisely Alyonushka, and it is she who is often advised to choose by experienced gardeners. Each bush gives up to thirteen kilograms of berries per season, and its height can reach two and a half meters. Ripe berries are characterized by a light and very pleasant sourness, and even though it becomes almost invisible at the stage of ripeness, when cooking the jam, you still have to add more sugar.

In the process of growing such raspberries, it is often necessary to tie it to supports or trellises. But this variety is characterized by excellent resistance to a wide variety of adverse conditions, including frost.

Meteor

Among all the universal varieties of raspberries, the Meteor variety is considered the earliest - the berries ripen almost simultaneously in early July. All of them are colored in ruby tones, have a well-defined conical shape and weigh up to three grams each. From each bush, you can collect up to two kilograms of delicious fragrant berries, and the height of powerful bushes almost never exceeds 1.2 m. And such a variety can boast of amazing resistance to diseases and amazing frost resistance.

It is impossible not to mention such raspberry varieties as Taganka and Marlboro. The first is one of the best late varieties, capable of withstanding frosts down to minus twenty degrees or even more, and the second is in no way inferior to the Alyonushka variety, beloved by many summer residents, both in yield and in its basic properties.
