If a person manages to somehow adapt to such conditions, then it is much more difficult for plants to do this. Therefore, when choosing the type of plant for the office, it is necessary to take into account its photophilousness or shade tolerance, reaction to dryness or humidity, the range of acceptable air temperature in the room.

Try not to attract capricious, whimsical plants that require constant attention, adherence to the humidity regime, living with the “winter dormancy” regime. These plants include: azalea, begonia, gloxinia, roses, cyclamen.

In the age of domination of allergies to odors, consider the individual tolerance of one or another type of plant by your colleagues in the room.

Shade-tolerant plants for the office

Today, very often office premises are located in basements without access to natural light, or with a very small share of it. All kinds of temporary cabins and offices in tightly closed trailers and sheds suffer from the same problem. Their temporary nature does not change the desire of people working in them to equip their workplace with comfort.

When choosing plants for such office premises, preference is given to shade-tolerant plants. It can be:

• bright anthurium;

• stemless aspidistra;

• arrowroot with tuberous rhizome;

• false palm of cordilina;

• unpretentious chlorophytum;

• popular tradescantia;

• strong and resistant ivy.

Light-loving plants for the office

If you are lucky with the choice of an employer who has provided a spacious, bright room with wide window sills for work, then your imagination has a place to roam. It must be remembered that not all light-loving plants like direct sunlight, which requires their protection during hours when the sun is especially mercilessly looking into your wide windows. What can you choose from plants with an abundance of light:

• large-rooted alocasia with original beautiful leaves;

• Kalanchoe with beautiful succulent leaves;

• geraniums - magnificent, Dalmatian, Georgian, Himalayan;

• stonecrop with succulent exotic leaves;

• tropical monster;

• uzambara violets (saintpaulia violets);

• Schlumberger (forest cacti).

Plants for the office with dry air

For well-heated offices, in which the air becomes dry, the choice falls on plants that can easily tolerate low air humidity. These plants include:

• familiar to everyone, unpretentious aloe;

• Kalanchoe, generous with "children";

• all kinds of cacti;

• dracaena - "tree of happiness";

• sansevieria ("mother-in-law's language");

• popular spathiphyllum;

• light-loving yucca.
