What is Trichoderma and how it works

Ways of using trichoderms
When planning to use a fungus on your site, you should know the features of development. Like all mushrooms, Trichoderms live and reproduce in favorable conditions. The main indicator is warmth. It can be used when the temperature is within + 5 … + 35.
Spores, preparations based on trichoderma are used at any stage of plant development. Sold in powder, in the form of a concentrate. The timing and methods of introduction depend on the goal that you want to achieve. I'll tell you about the most popular applications.
Method 1. Seed treatment
Before sowing, the seeds are soaked in solution 1-3 days before planting. The working solution is prepared according to the instructions. Dilute the drug as indicated on the package and dilute it with water: 50 ml of the resulting solution is needed for 100 ml of water. Soaking takes place within 60 minutes.
The processed seeds germinate 20% better. In the seedling stage, they are not affected by fungal diseases.
Method 2. Processing seedlings
Trichoderma increases survival rate, strengthens the immune system. Processing is carried out immediately before transplanting, in the form of spilling an earthen coma or soaking cups in a container with a solution 30 minutes before planting. The solution is prepared from 100 ml of the diluted preparation and 10 liters of water.
Method 3. Tillage
Trichoderma is used for preventive purposes: during the seasonal preparation of the beds or before planting. The solution used for these treatments is different. For spring / autumn treatment 50 ml per bucket of water. Consumption for 10 sq. m. For watering the soil before planting, a solution of 150 ml is made per bucket. Consumption per 1 hundred square meters.
Spring watering takes place 7-10 days before sowing or planting seedlings. Autumn when covering plant residues or immediately after collection.
Method 4. Treatment of plants
In the event of an outbreak of disease (late blight, gray, white rot, etc.)in the form of emergency assistance, treatment with trichoderma is carried out.
Make a solution and use it for root watering. Add 75-100 ml of fungal preparation to a ten-liter watering can. Water every 10-12 days until complete recovery. The safety of the drug allows you to use it before harvesting.
