Description of mallow low

Low mallow is an annual or biennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between fifteen and fifty centimeters. Such a plant will be endowed with straight stems, which will be either creeping or ascending. Low mallow leaves are reniform, they are endowed with rather weakly expressed semicircular lobes. The petals of this plant are painted in white tones, but at the same time, when dried, they turn a little blue.

Under natural conditions, low mallow is found in Central Asia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Caucasus, Western and Eastern Siberia, the European part of Russia and in Primorye in the Far East. For growth, this plant prefers garbage places, parks, gardens, places near roads, mountains, gorges, dry and rocky channels. It is noteworthy that low mallow is a very ornamental plant.

Description of the medicinal properties of low mallow

Low mallow is endowed with very valuable medicinal properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the roots, leaves, flowers and the aerial part of this plant.

The presence of such valuable medicinal properties is recommended to be explained by the content of mucus in all parts of this plant, while vitamin C will be present in the stems, leaves and roots. In addition, the aerial part of the low mallow will contain arabinose and phytosterol, as well as fatty oil which contains octacosane. The leaves of this plant contain tannins and carotene, and the flowers contain malvin, while the seeds contain fatty oil.

A decoction prepared on the basis of the flowers and leaves of this plant is recommended for use in dyspepsia, ulcers, scrofula, diabetes mellitus, enterocolitis, and also such agents are used as an emollient, expectorant and enveloping agent for various pulmonary diseases, in particular for upper respiratory diseases ways and tuberculosis. A decoction based on these elements of mallow low in milk has found application for anuria.

It is quite permissible to use the roots and the aerial part of this plant as a substitute for medicinal marshmallow.
