Description of the Yakut wormwood

Yakut wormwood is an annual or biennial plant, the height of which will fluctuate between twenty-five and forty centimeters. The whole plant will be painted in grayish tones, and the root itself is vertical and rather thin. The stems of this plant can be either single or present in the number of several pieces, such stems will be erect or ascending at the very base. The baskets of the Yakut wormwood will be hemispherical, their width is six to eight millimeters, such baskets will be on legs in a wide loose paniculate inflorescence, and the baskets can be either drooping or rejected. The marginal pistillate flowers are in number up to twenty-one, and the corolla itself will be narrow-tubular. The flowers of the disc will be bisexual and fairly numerous, and the corolla will be conical. The length of the achenes of the Yakut wormwood reaches one millimeter, and in shape such achenes will be oblong-ovate.

Blossoming of the Yakut wormwood falls on the month of August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of the Okhotsk region of the Far East and in all regions of Eastern Siberia, with the exception of only the Yenisei region. For growth, the plant prefers sandy shores, saline meadows, sandy outcrops of peaks and slopes, salt marshes, gravelly areas of steppes, shoals of salt lakes and rivers.

Description of the medicinal properties of the Yakut wormwood

Yakut wormwood is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes.
