The semi-umbrellas of the marsh bedstraw will be rather few-flowered, they form a spreading, loose and paniculate inflorescence. Peduncles of this plant will be long, rough, double- or triple-branched. The corolla of this plant is painted in white tones, its diameter is about three to four millimeters, such a corolla will be incised into ovoid lobes. The fruits of the marsh bedstraw are double, their length is two millimeters, and their width is three millimeters.
The flowering of the marsh bedstraw occurs in the period from June to the month of August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Western and Eastern Siberia, Ukraine, Belarus, the European part of Russia, Central Asia, the Siberian Arctic and the European Arctic. For growth, the marsh bedstraw prefers forest edges, marshy forests and shrubs, swamps, marshy meadows, damp sandy-pebble shores of lakes, rivers and ditches.
Description of the medicinal properties of the marsh bedstraw
The marsh bedstraw is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. Grass includes leaves, stems and flowers.
The presence of such valuable healing properties is recommended to be explained by the content of purpurin, purpurin-3-carboxylic acid, anthraquinones, lucidin primveroside, rubiadin and lucidin in the composition of this plant. The herb of this plant contains flavonoids, higher aliphatic hydrocarbons and iridoids.
An infusion prepared on the basis of grass bedstraw is recommended for epilepsy, but externally, such a healing agent is used for purulent wounds. The mashed plant and its juice are recommended to be used topically for tumors, while a decoction based on grass bedstraw is indicated for use in hypoxia. The flowers of this plant are also used locally for various hematomas.
It is noteworthy that in the experiment it was proved that a ten percent extract of this plant is endowed with very effective hemostatic properties.
In case of epilepsy, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a healing remedy, you will need to take one tablespoon of chopped grass bedstraw for one glass of boiling water. The resulting healing mixture should be infused for one hour, and then this mixture is filtered very carefully. Such a remedy is taken three to four times a day, one or two tablespoons. With proper use, such a healing agent turns out to be very effective.
