The flowering of this plant occurs in the month of August, while the fruits will ripen in the month of October. In natural conditions, Japanese dodder is found in the Far East: namely, in the west and south of Primorye and the Amur region. For growth, this plant prefers shrub thickets, meadows, river lobes, and will also parasitize on perennial herbaceous plants and shrubs.
