Description of Japanese dodder

Japanese dodder is an annual herb. The stems of such a plant are thick and fleshy, as well as branched, cord-like, naked, smooth, they reach two millimeters in diameter, and they will be colored more or less in reddish tones. The flowers of Japanese dodder are yellow, their length is four millimeters, they will be sessile and are collected in bunches in racemose inflorescences, the length of which, in turn, will be three centimeters. The corolla of this plant is short-bell-shaped, it can be either twice or even longer than the calyx itself, such a corolla will be painted in pinkish tones, and the box of Japanese dodder is oval-ovate or oval, its length is equal to four millimeters. Such a box will be more or less colored, as well as one- and two-seeded. The seeds of this plant are round-hearted, their length is two millimeters, and their width is two and a half millimeters.

The flowering of this plant occurs in the month of August, while the fruits will ripen in the month of October. In natural conditions, Japanese dodder is found in the Far East: namely, in the west and south of Primorye and the Amur region. For growth, this plant prefers shrub thickets, meadows, river lobes, and will also parasitize on perennial herbaceous plants and shrubs.

Description of the medicinal properties of Japanese dodder

Dodder Japanese is endowed with very valuable medicinal properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the seeds of this plant.

The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content in the composition of this plant of coumarin umbelliferone, flavonoid 3-glycrzide quercetin, phenol carboxylic acids and their derivatives.

A broth prepared on the basis of Japanese dodder seeds is widely used in Chinese medicine. Such a remedy is used to treat leprosy, including tuberculoid. As for Korean medicine, here such a decoction based on this plant is used for cystitis, diabetes mellitus, threatening miscarriage, leucorrhoea, otitis media, dizziness, neurasthenia, wet dreams, prolonged diarrhea, hysteria and impotence, and is also used as a tonic.

It is noteworthy that clinical trials have shown that a decoction based on Japanese dodder seeds has positive properties in the treatment of diabetes mellitus. We are talking about a prefabricated healing agent, the main thing in which are just the seeds of this plant. In addition, such a decoction of Japanese dodder seeds has the ability to increase agglutinogens in the blood and will have an immunostimulating effect.

In case of emissions, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a remedy, you should thoroughly grind the seeds of Japanese dodder, Chinese wolfberry, dried raspberry, Chinese magnolia vine and plantain seeds.
