Description of the Chinese lofant

Lofant Chinese is a perennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between twenty and seventy centimeters. This plant is glandular and short-pubescent, its color can vary from green to grayish or whitish-gray, but the leaves of this plant are almost tomentose. The stems of the Chinese lofant will be numerous, they can be both ascending and straight, and almost from the very base they are spread-out-branched. The leaves of the Chinese lofant are ovoid-triangular or ovate, as well as crenate-toothed, and their length is ten to twenty-five millimeters. The cup of the Chinese lofant is tubular and straight, it will also be almost two-lipped, its length is six to eight millimeters, and inside it will be endowed with a hairy ring. The corolla of this plant is painted in bluish-purple tones, while it turns out to be exactly twice the length of the calyx. The nuts of the Chinese lofant are smooth, oblong-oval in shape and painted in brown tones.

The flowering of the Chinese lofant occurs in the period from June to August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of the Daursky and Angara-Sayan regions of Eastern Siberia, as well as in Primorye and Priamurye in the Far East. For growth, the Chinese lofant prefers rocks, talus and stony steppe slopes.

Description of the medicinal properties of Chinese lofant

Chinese lofant is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes flowers, stems and leaves of this plant.

In Tibetan medicine, a decoction and infusion, which are prepared on the basis of the Chinese lofanta herb, are quite widespread. An infusion based on the leaves and flowers of Chinese lofant is used for various diseases of the liver and stomach, as well as for functional disorders of the digestive tract. In Mongolian medicine, an infusion is used, prepared on the basis of the flowers of this plant for cuts and paralysis, both internally and externally. It should be noted that the essential oil of Chinese lofant flowers is endowed with a very significant antibacterial activity.

For peptic ulcer disease, chronic colitis and gastritis, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on Chinese lofant: to prepare such a remedy, you will need to take ten grams of the herb of this plant in two hundred milliliters of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled over a fairly low heat for about four to five minutes, then this mixture is left to infuse for two hours, after which the volume is brought to the original with boiled water to the original and the resulting healing mixture is filtered very carefully. Such a remedy is taken on the basis of a Chinese lofant half an hour before the start of a meal, one third of a glass three times a day. Subject to all the rules and regulations for taking such a healing agent, a positive result will be noticeable pretty soon.
